i think i have something to say
earlier some days(hardy a month or two) i was using google to translate persian to english
but translation from persian was not available so i search other places to do so
i was shocked there was hardly any site to do this, finally i found that it's a tough language to translate and google working on it

15 days later i got to know i can translate persian now with google
i think this could be the same case with urdu. It should be tough language to translate and they will be working on that..... simple

as google can translate hardly 40 languages

i think it make some sense

Google does have a good Urdu translation tool. Its rather transliteration tool, but handy.

another suggestion would be that there are not many people in the world that speak urdu. i dont think that urdu is in big demand all over the world because most people in our region already speak and understand english be it on a rudimentary level.
Persian i would think because of what is happening in iran. People might be using this to translate stuff from dissident sites i guess
