It is quite simple he doesnt want the children know the truth. He wants to keep them ensconced in his own little territory preaching hatred against other community.

They're not even hiding anything anymore. He's openly saying that science and math education is bad (even when you're excelling in it); and religious education is the most important. This is an open call for Talibanization - his supporters have already burnt down hundreds of schools.
