Wait a day or so. My Mrs is Arab, unfortunately she is out of station looking after ailing parents. When I next speak to her I will find out. However, there are certain names which have been used since a long time and even the Arabs dont know the meaning of. However, I will get back to you.

Sorry for the late response. According to my wife Uzaiba comes from "UZB" which means sweat and pure water. In order to use it for a child, they convert it into a nick name and call it Uzaiba. Amongst Arabs it is not considered a nice name du e to its sound and its alternate meanings. I hope it helps
