Has quran got anything more to offer which Gita is already not offering. A german indologist once said Gita's preface has more spiritual and worldly knowledge than whole of Bible and Quran combined.

And if India has to remain undivided then Muslims have to be brought back into the Dharmic fold. Moreover Hinduism doesn't bar us from inquiring and if we like then embracing other religions which not a case with Islam, so this is a very wonderful move to help introduce Muslims kids to the religion of their forefathers.

And i have no problems if Quran is taught along with Gita to children across India.
You should also note none of Hindu epics can be compared to Bible and Quran.
Muslims and christian epics are like an advertisement for their faith which can not be said about Hindu epics.

Grow up HOBO1, Its 21st century and instead of going forward, we are going back to stone age. Religion is very personal thing, need not to be forced at anyone even at Hindu students. Reference or any religion based content of everyy religion must be removed from our education system nationally. Schools are not a place for religion, but only for modern education.

It looks like a handi work of Modi's 'Bhagwa Taliban Brigade' (BTB) and in next elections, people are going show him his place.

My Pakistani brethren, don't be hypocrite and try to take a high moral ground. Islamic studies (Islamiyat) is a compulsory subject for every student (Muslim or Non Muslim) till class 12th in Pakistani education system.
