As an employee i´m really happy about that deal. So far China ordered 130 airplanes. Thats a gigantic contract. So far its the largest contract China ever made in aviation.

The contract is worth 17 billion $ and consists of 100 A320 machines:

The A320 is used for short and mid ranged routes.

And 30 A330 machines.

Whiche is used for long ranges.

That deal is amazing and pushs Airbus even more into the lead. Our production lines are already running red hot.

But the chinese market is strange. Normally we make consultations with airlines. In China most is done through the government.

I had the impression when i was in china, that the chinese are very proud to have Airbus and they are quite loyal.

The Chinese will prefer airbus over Boeing in future, US sends warship 12nm into our water and subsequent future deal will depend whether the countries behave themselves with China. In this case. Europe treat China as equal friends and this is your reward.

Whatever happened to their own home made plane C919? They should buy it themselves to prove its credibility.

How are you my brother Markus. Been a while we haven't seen you on here. Guess you have been quite busy.

Well, only Boeing can compare with Airbus in the world when it comes to this segment of aviation, so European Airbus led by France. U.K ,& Germany, and U.S Boeing have a monopoly in this segment all other countries are decades behind and nowhere close.

So its normal that any country has little choice than to choose between these two giants.

Moreover our Trent engines are indeed helping Europe and Airbus gain an edge over our American rival Boeing. :)

@MarkusS as an engineer of Airbus what do you think about out Trent engines? Do you think it will help Europe and Airbus keep its lead over Boeing in the foreseeable future? :)

RR creates an alternative for airlines to chose and that way we have several options be it GE, PW or RR. RR builds great engines and was able to figure out its problems that existed a few years ago. Without RR we would have only american made engines and that woukd litteraly suck.

Any engineering job that "overlaps with sales" is "less about engineering, more about bull$hitting". ;p

why would you think so? Going outside, meet with customers and work with them to find the solutions for their demands is quite cool.

it is just a normal business transaction, seems no chinese take it seriously. we just use the opportunity to get a cheap bargain when euros dropped a like a stone in recent days.

The deal is made in $ and was signed 9 months ago. What you see now is the PR action from politicians. I just hope the chinese economy gets more stable and back on good tracks. It looks kinda retreating right now and a recession in china would be bad news.

it is not a contract signed rather than just a letter a of intention buying, so we can interpret it in the way suiting ourself best . as for the recession part, we are still a super star considering the whloe world economy being a shit now thanks to the manipulation of US.
it is better for europe to hurry up casue it has lost one third of its superority against China in the past two years due to the miserable performance of its currency, which again thanks to US.

Nope. Its a contract. Your government is known to be a trustworthy contract partner. I hope you don´t try to make your government look untrustworthy. China is known here to fullfill its contracts point y point without any "interpretation". Thats why china is a valued trading partner. Not only for airbus but european corporations in general.

I guess you just expressed it wrong, because what you say doesn´t represents what your government stands for. So far we never had any problems with china. Do you say this will change? :)
