What's new

Germany wants Europe to form a 'counterweight' to US

and thanks to WW1 and WW2, that's never going to happen.

and just because some foreign minister says it, doesn't mean that all of the population wants that, either.

All the population? Buddy, I was in Germany last summer, and from what I have seen, regular Germans really don't want any foreigners in their country, let alone foreign military. Same is the case with Japan and Philippines, who have vigorously opposed american military bases. It is the corrupt, yuppie governments of Germany, Japan, Philippines and other states that are coerced, bribed, blackmailed and threatened by the americans into accepting american military presence in their respective countries.

Also, don't even get me started on WW1/WW2 whose architect are Zionists.

He advocated an EU payment system

Been saying this for long. World need parallel economic systems , not just dollar dominated one. Monopoly of one nation is no good for the rest of the world, specially at a time of unstable political situation and internal divisions, compounded by the foreign policy somersaults as seen with their Iranian deal.

Whether one like it or not, China has emerged as power with both political and economic stability and wont be surprised if they float their own economic system for the rest of the world to use.

Deep State psychos have overplayed their hand with sanctions. It was one thing when countries like Venezuela, Cuba, Iran were being sanctioned. Then bigger countries like Russia. Now China is creating a digital currency and even Europe has realized that it can no longer be dependent on the psychotic policies coming out of Washington DC, which are the world's greatest threat to world peace.

It is terrible that it had to be this way because my living standards will suffer once the dollar loses reserve currency status, but this is a classic example of how hubris, arrogance and ignorance brings down empires.

Will se how Nord Stream-2 ends. It is the real test of German sovereignty.
China would have easily helped compete that pipe laying. They sanctioned the European vessel, we Make pipe laying vessels.
i still think the US is the world's best hope for sustained peace.
Tell that to those 500k dead iraqi kids.

"Given the circumstances, it is of strategic importance that we tell Washington clearly: We want to work together," Maas wrote. "But we will not allow you to hurt our interests without consulting us."

The CCP crowd is going overboard here. Read the lines in bold. If USA does something without consulting ther EU (like Donald Trump operates) they will be pissed

Well natural gas and oil are of declining importance. It is time Russia prepared for a post hydrocarbon world
Iran should be built up as an ally in the Middle East for Russia and China.

You are assuming Iran wants to be someone's sidekick

Don't blame us for the failings of Muslim leaders, please.

I agree. The world does need to prepare. By for instance not spending so much on military strife and competition, and more on a collective approach to ushering in nuclear fusion as safe power generation!

competition between communism and capitalism.. don't blame it all on the westerners, ok.. you'll make a fool out of yourself that way.

A strong Iran is very much needed to counter Western aggression. Russia and China can arm Iran to the teeth. Iran can in turn arm it’s regional allies as a multiplier effect. Japan is already armed unlike Iran and Japan is being armed regardless anyway. China spending just 3% of GDP on military is $720 billion in PPP. Money is not a problem for China. Iran can cause the West a lot of problems and distractions. Iranians are tough bastards. Give them the weapons necessary and you have the strongest military in the Middle East.

Nothing stops China from arming Iran. There is a reason China has not

who is communism here, Chinese? What are you smoking, dude. The Yankees call us State Capitalist. LOL

Overview
  • The Vietnam War was a prolonged military conflict that started as an anticolonial war against the French and evolved into a Cold War confrontation between international communism and free-market democracy.
  • The Democratic Republic of Vietnam (DRV) in the north was supported by the Soviet Union, China, and other communist countries, while the United States and its anticommunist allies backed the Republic of Vietnam (ROV) in the south.
  • President Lyndon Johnson dramatically escalated US involvement in the conflict, authorizing a series of intense bombing campaigns and committing hundreds of thousands of US ground troops to the fight.
  • After the United States withdrew from the conflict, North Vietnam invaded the South and united the country under a communist government.

Pfft... So the Iraqi leaders failed their people, that gives you the right to destroy, occupy and kill hundreds of thousands of their people..? such a typical colonialist mindset...

We don't blame you for the failings of the Iraqi leaders... we are blaming you for the killings and destruction you did to them... a war done on fake allegations of WMD.

History of Iraq that barely anybody knows about:

U.S. Secretly Gave Aid to Iraq Early in Its War Against Iran

In a war that killed hundreds of thousands, if not millions.

Western firms supplied Iraq with chemical weapons

CONFRONTATION IN THE GULF; U.S. Gave Iraq Little Reason Not to Mount Kuwait Assault

US "state department" informs Saddam that USA would turn a blind eye over Saddam's oil dispute with Kuwait, essentially giving a green light to the invasion. Then cries outrage when Saddam does what the US said would not interfere over.

Sanctions killed 500000 Iraqi children:

International terrorists who wanted to attack 7 UN governments, with no concern for civilian lives:

No concern for civilian lives, Western thugs ruined Iraq:

When Saddam betrayed his own people by embarking on his war against Iran (instead of securing his interests through diplomacy and the international media), he became a liability to the international community.

So the allegations of him having acquired WMDs after his defeat during his invasion of Kuwait (a clear sign of mental instability), and the subsequent worries that we had here in the west about his arsenal and his leadership's ability *to* lead peacefully, were not entirely unfounded.

I regret the loss of life, much like I regret arms races.

But the fact is that the muslims *had* declared war upon the west, through their many terror strikes and other unacceptable behavior (like the invasion of Kuwait), ever since the creation of Israel.

Muslims tend to choose violence over diplomacy until shown that they can not win by violent means.

We are *now*, finally entering a stage of international relationships where more and more Muslim countries finally have stable moderate leaderships, and are even willing to recognize Israel's right to exist.

Let's make use of that.

I *BEG* you all to give diplomacy and the use of the international media system a chance BEFORE you embark on arms races or terror campaigns..

Well, frankly, we were worried over here about Iran's Islamic revolution, and the effect that might have on the oil richest region of the world at that time. As you know, we were entirely reliant on a stable supply of cheap oil at that time. That too, has changed now, with fracking and shale-oil getting produced in western countries, and with Greenland defrosting, we have access to more and more natural gas too.

So, yes, we supplied Saddam with all the weapons he needed to prevent Iranian violent interference in his affairs. Hoping to make an ally out of Saddam. Instead that crazy m-f*cker made pre-emptive war on Iran, so when he invaded Kuwait we finally had reason enough (reasons we could explain to your young and politically not well interested) civilians to blast Saddam out of power.
