@KediKesenFare
Than you don't have a problem with the concept of a liberal mosque, only with this Person aten?

@AUz
I'm curious. The islam hasn't change a little bit over the years, not like the old Testament to the new, but at least little bit?

Offcourse it has. All human institutions change/evolve over time.

However, it's Islam that dominated the change/evolution ladder and not the modern forces of hedonistic secularism as it happened everywhere else where Islam did not exist.

Furthermore...the main texts, principles, and overall traditional foundations of practice and belief remain the same to what they were 14 centuries ago. Hence Islam maintains its gigantic global influence whenever it exists whereas all other religions have been defeated/rendered irrelevant by secularism and hedonistic consumption.

Islam on the other hand integrated with the modern world of global trade, commerce, technology, culture and wealth generation---without losing its preeminent position and global influence throughout the Islamic world and even beyond.

Women can pray (separately) with men in a segregated setting. This has been the norm of Islamic world since 1400 years and has not changed one spec.

For Starters:

Umm Waraqah bint 'Abd Allah b. Al-harith was a contemporary of Islamic prophet Muhammad.... Because of the strength of the evidence, the example of Umm Waraqah serves as the basis for the opinion among some Islamic jurists that women are permitted to not only lead other women in prayer, but that they may also lead mixed-sex congregations ............

And:

Historically, certain sects have considered it acceptable for women to function as imams. This was true not only in the Arab heartland of early Islam, but in China more recently. The debate has been reactivated during the 21st century. Proponents have argued that the spirit of the Qur'an and the letter of a disputed hadith indicate that women should be able to lead mixed, as opposed to sex-segregated congregations, and that the prohibition against the practice originated from sexism in the medieval environment and from inaccurate patriarchal interpretations of religious texts, rather than from a spirit of true Islam.[1]

How many of the posters in here will consider it a real mosque with gays allowed to pray? Want to make a poll?

@Zarvan your thoughts?
Good point. Many sadly regard Islam as their franchise. If they don't validate it - it ain't Islam. The net result is the ones who are nutty start killiong each other because they regard anything that does not meet their validation as act against Allah. All power to this Turkish lady. I would certainly be happy to pray in this mosque - with gays or women.

*And as a note. It's not my right to judge others. I leave that power to the almighty. I can't and will not transgress in what is the right that only belongs to the almighty. I leave playing the 'god' to others here.

Perhaps a mosque where the prayers do not blow themselves up ... is only an estimate.

Cute estimate but in normal mosques you aren't supposed to blow yourself up lol.

You want me to believe that someone blowing himself up in a mosque full of the holy book is a Muslim? Please, that lad has been lead astray for a long time.

If there can be Sunni,ahle hadis,brelvi,ismaili,deobandi mosquei fail to see the issue with this one :D

I see the issue in all those. There should be only one type of mosque.

Azlan, I have always wondered, only Quran in Islam is considered the direct word of god....correct?

Does it say anywhere in there that men and women should pray seperately?

Can everything outside of Quran (no matter how codified etc) be considered to be human interpretation at some level?

To be honest, no, i said only, that maybe the visitors of an "non-liberal" mosque maybe have the tendency to blow up themselves...but I was wrong from time to time...:whistle:

Afghanistan is a war zone. I'm not one bit surprised. Other countries have outside forces manipulating others with their pay rolls doing their dirty work. You don't think a "liberal mosque" in the middle of Afghanistan would get blown up?
