Israel have 3 Germany dolphin class submarin witch based on the U-212
diesel submarin (The best diesel submarin in the world). in 2006 israel sign up a deal with Germany to acquire more 2 dolphin class with option to 1 more dolphin submarin.Germany accept the deal and the 2 dolphin submarin are now in israel the 3 sub will come to israel later.The dolphin class submarin can lanch a cruise missiles with a nucler warhead.Israel have a fleet of submarins:
5 dolphin class submarin(u212) one more will come later.
3 gal class submarin.
Israel also sign up a deal with Germany to acquire 2 meko A-100 corvettes missile boats.

3 issues:

Chronologically, the Dolphin class preceedes the model U212 submarine by several years (so it is not a development of the 212, but rather the other way around).

All boats of the Type 540 Gal Class submarine of the Israeli Navy, a slightly modified variant of the German HDW Type 206 submarine class built to Israeli specifications at the Vickers shipyards at Barrow in Furness in the UK rather than Germany for political reasons, were decommissioned in the early 2000s. One was scrapped and two were sent to HDW in Germany in hopes of finding them a foreign buyer. In 2007, "Gal" (one of the two remaining submarines) was transported back to the Naval Museum in Haifa, Israel and is now part of the permanent exhibition.

That's not a stealthy 1900ton MEKO A-100 corvette (as sold to Poland) but a decidedly less stealthy 1500 ton MEKO 100 off-shore patrol vessel (as sold to Malaysia)

And Adir, I would be grateful if you could tell me the potential deployment regions of these submarines of the Israeli Navy. Considering that the Red sea and the Mediterranean has more of Arab Navy influences, I don't understand where does Israeli Navy generally train and deploy its assets.

If its with TOT then Israel might sell some of its Tech to China and India in later future and another source of its spare parts if EU puts sanctions on any other country having it in future. . its hard for west to keep its Tech away from China. China has $$$ and Israel needs business. Some in west say J-10 is based on Israeli design too.

Poor JF-17 got victim of western and Indian propaganda for French avionics that China might get hand on the tech.

It is a gr8 story for us. If Israel knows the German Subs, we know them too and if Pak go for the German subs, we have a tiny little advantage. My 2 cents ....
