High standards of living and better job opportunities don't mean that they have a wonderful culture there. Don't get these 2 confused. The birth rate of every European country is a lot lower than every Muslim family(averaged out) residing in it. Also, people are converting to Islam in a rapid way in Europe too. Thus the term, "engulfing of Europe". The immigration of Muslims of Europe is another way to engulf it, since we are already well entrenched into our native countries.

You do understand most of the war effort went into fighting the local Afghans who didn't even know what 9-11 was and were fighting out of simple human reaction and not some global jihadist agenda and most of the deaths were innocent civilians, so much for being civilised and the people that paid for the war were Western taxpayers.

I agree with some of our colleagues in here that there should be qualitative standards in whom to admit into the European Union. Skilled, professionals should be allowed in -- to contribute to the economic and cultural vitality of Europe. However, Europe needs to increase its stringency in regards to refugees from --- not just the middle east, but also from africa.

I can vouchsafe that not all Europeans of middle eastern ancestry are threats to Europe, but rather, a blessing. One of my friends who is from the UK is of Persian ancestry, he's working on his Master's on Chemical Engineering -- here at my university. All in all he's British, his accent, the way he talks, his mannerisms, jokes-- British. As for his looks -- to be honest, I can't really differentiate him from an Italian , Spaniard or Greek. He's Persian with very light brown hair, has very fair skin, and light brown eyes. He looks very "European" to me.

This is just an example that -- qualitative screening -- can benefit any nation.

Well I just checked the Muslim populations in European countries (excluding Serbia/ Bosnia/ Balkans...where Muslima were always there in numbers) and the percentage of population is very low, in some countries even below 5% and these are mostly immigrants. I am yet to see a credible link/ report/ news video saying many European whites are converting. I am not talking about a few individuals or groups.

Because, if not, and if the far right really comes to power in France (all set actually for them...), Germany, Belgium, etc. then with strong anti-immigration laws, I don't see Muslims population even touching 10% by 2050, let alone 1/3rd.

In simple words. I give a shit about people from afghanistan. It simply doesn´t touch me. When our aircraft blow up 100 of them i didn´t care and this never changed. I simply have no connection to them. They are alien to me. I know none have no contact to them and they appear weird to me. Maybe it would be different if i would know. Maybe not. But thats the way it is.

But now that you say it i find it strange how an opinion can change. When i was a teenager like 5 years ago i was for palestine. I was outraged about guantanamo and pretty anti american. I even went on anti Bush demonstrations back then with my class mates. Its weird that my opinion changed so much in such a short time.
