George W. Bush Knew that Prisoners in Guantanamo Were Innocent

Washington, April 10, (RHC).- Former US President George W. Bush and his advisors reportedly knew that many of the prisoners illegally detained in Guantanamo were innocent but feared that their eventual release was dangerous for his so called war on terror, according to an article published on Friday by The Times.

The statement was made by Colonel Lawrence Wilkersen, former Cabinet chief of former US Secretary of State Colin Powel and is the first high ranking official of the Bush administration to come out with the issue.

Wilkerson affirms in the document that former Vice President Dick Cheney and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld knew that the majority of the first 742 detainees sent to the illegally occupied naval base in Guantanamo in 2002 were innocent but considered that it was politically impossible to release them.

Wilkersen also affirms that many of the detainees whose ages ranged between 12 and 93 were handed over to the United States by Afghan and Pakistani forces in exchange for large sums of money.

When US President Barack Obama took office in 2009, he promised to shut down the Guantanamo prison center before the end of January of 2010, but some 180 detainees continue locked up in the illegal camp.

Its obvious, in any case majority of people detained are innocents. It is the job of the judiciary to single out the guilty from these innocent people.

Why don't it matter, isn't US one of the biggest advocates of human rights in the world. And also it goes on to show the mind set of an indian who thinks that because some fellow has a beard he can be detained. Well frankly there is no cure to being ignorant, and you have all the traits.
