It's good to know a little history before speaking.

Do you know why Pakistan got involved during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan? Pakistan had to act proactively to defend her border. Soviet's ultimate aim was to gain control of Balochistan and Gwadar Port and a small country like Pakistan did not have the power to defeat a super power hence we collaborated with the CIA to fight the war. It was an ill-thought out tactic that backfired decades later. This war is ours and we are responsible to clean and protect Pakistan's borders.

Yes too many blunders but u cant tag him a "traitor".
No doubt he is a patriot , he did what he "thought " best for country , his analysis and calculations were misguided/ inaccurate but his intentions were right . His sole decision on US alliance in afghan war not taking even military establishment on board brought serious backlash .
Why policies of world powers are so stable and blunt coz there are always a team of experienced advisors and big think tanks and researcher groups behind gov/ dictators , thinking decades thn other nations . This is the main area where Pakistan lacks behind and power holders like Mush , Nawaz , Zardari , BB , Yahya , bhuto do terrible mistakes .
