Separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani wrote a letter to Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wherein he advises him to adopt a diplomatic policy which ensures India's isolation in South Asia.

In the letter, the Hurriyat leader urged Pakistan to develop good relations with its all neighbours in South Asia, excluding India. According to him this is the only way to neutralize India's influence in Southern Asian region. He specifically mentioned Afghanistan and Iran in the letter when he wrote about improving foreign relations.

Geelani is said to have cautioned Sharif about following the policy of United States of America.

The senior Hurriyat leader wrote a 'secret' letter to Pakistan PM Sharif about which Ayaz Akbar, spokesperson for the Hurriyat Conference gave a statement on September 2. According to reports, three member delegation from the Hurriyat Conference met Pakistani envoy Abdul Basit. It was the first time that the Hurriyat members met the Pakistan envoy after the NSA-level talks were called off.

Previously, India displayed discomfort with the possibility of an interaction between Pakistan and Kashmiri separatists.

Well I am serious when I say this, I know that many in the valley want India out of Kashmir but these pu$$ies don't even have more than 10000 followers in Kashmir. @SarthakGanguly can confirm... even the Kashmiris who want to do away from India believe Geelani and co. have done more harm to their case than any help....

Anyways, there are more Kashmiris who want to be with India than Pakistan like the Shias and many who have family members in Police/ para military/ Government posts, etc.

That is a bit too late now. From Fiji to UAE, India has done more than this old nut could ever dream of.

Well, India really is headed into more and more isolation in the regional context.

China in the north and Pakistan in the west, both are hostile towards India. India ruined it's relationship with Nepal in the earthquake media-clowns fiasco. Relationship with Bangladesh will get worse and worse under this extremist hindutva movement, but i am not willing to bet on it yet. Meanwhile Myanmar is actively supporting Maoist separatists which are killing more and more Indian soldiers day by day.

.
How dare he tease Pakistan.
:D

this is not even an issue most of hub bul watn pakistanies dont know or dont want to know the next storm in the making which when in effect will bit by bit erase each and every dream they had for pakistan and the real irony is most of them consider it to be there onli slavation just like they beleve a peacefull settelment of kashmir on pakistani terms will bring peace to this reagon ..... so much for false mirages :D

.
Kaise wakt aa gaye sharif k Geelani se bhi advice lena pad rha h
