Separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani wrote a letter to Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wherein he advises him to adopt a diplomatic policy which ensures India's isolation in South Asia.
In the letter, the Hurriyat leader urged Pakistan to develop good relations with its all neighbours in South Asia, excluding India. According to him this is the only way to neutralize India's influence in Southern Asian region. He specifically mentioned Afghanistan and Iran in the letter when he wrote about improving foreign relations.
Geelani is said to have cautioned Sharif about following the policy of United States of America.
The senior Hurriyat leader wrote a 'secret' letter to Pakistan PM Sharif about which Ayaz Akbar, spokesperson for the Hurriyat Conference gave a statement on September 2. According to reports, three member delegation from the Hurriyat Conference met Pakistani envoy Abdul Basit. It was the first time that the Hurriyat members met the Pakistan envoy after the NSA-level talks were called off.
Previously, India displayed discomfort with the possibility of an interaction between Pakistan and Kashmiri separatists.
Geelani to PM Sharif: Isolate India from the rest of South Asia : FYI, News - India Today
So after Altaf Hussien now Geelani issuing diktats to Nawaz Sharif.
