I have quite a few guns and I'm from South Punjab. Military allows us to arm ourselves happily. They know that us villagers towards the border will be one the biggest obstacles for Indian invasion.

I can understand your viewpoint, but you should realize that people that want to commit these actions can still buy weapons whether they are banned for civilians or not. The only way for us common men to fight back to injustice is to arm ourselves. I have 3 assault rifles and 4 different types of pistols. They are all locked up. The only time we pulled out the AK was to kill a boar ruining our crops in the village. That was a one time thing. Other than that, they are mostly kept in the metal almari with 2 locks.
