I broke my iPhone and the replacement got burnt out because I trusted a friends car charger... I'm looking at moving away from the iPhones, anyone recommend a really good High-End phone that is not iPhone? Or should I just stick to my mid-range phone for now and wait for next years models?

huawei mate 20 pro or huawei p20 pro....

Got the P20 Lite for my mother and was very impressed with it, very snappy. I'll look into Huawei top models for sure.

I hear one plus 6 is very good.

The only issue I have with the one plus 6 is that it has no wireless charging capability, i thought such a feature was a gimmick but wireless is the the way my friend. But the dash charging on the one plus 6 is very interesting too, will look into it more. Thank you for your suggestion.

For me wireless charging is not a deal breaker , maybe it's because that my use of phone is limited . Do check Huawei as well I heard they are good as well .

Get an S9/+ it's overall better than any phone available on the market.
You can find it for around 520-600€.
Same price as Chinese "newer" ones like the Oneplus/Xiaomi/Huawai High spec series
