Future Russian Aircraft Carrier

Why does it have a ski jump when it will have EMs??

That is simply the part that is non-credible. I would put it this way; that the illustration just defines the idea of the size and general design of the Carrier. Which can be built as it is.
Re: the EMALS set-up; there is no such eqpt. in existence presently with the Russians. It is still in design phase. So the illustration demonstrates the reality.

Yes you are right, but they can go for steam catapults!, they already posses this tech

Dude, do you even understand the context under which others are bashing you? o_O

The Costa Fascinosa alone has 112.500 tonnes and is currently the largest italian ship. The new build Costa Diadema even has 135.000 tonnes and starts service in november this year. Those are ship sized russia never achieved.

Our ships launch money. They earn gigantic profits. While this small russian garbage ships cost money and serve no purpose.

Nope. AFAIk, the Russians do not have Steam-Cat tech. They have not had and do not have any Cats.

Thats simply unbelievable :) considering they are near close to Americans when it comes to technology. The AC they canclled was close to USS enterprise in size and capacity. So what did they base this AC on?

a 60,000 tonnes nuclear aircraft carrier with EM catapults are in the works, will likely be built at the Sevmash yards... scaled down from the original 100,000 tonne proposal

First you should learn what is the purpose of a civilian ship.. and a military ship.

It may come shocking to you but military ships, don't intend to earn money but fight battles. :o::o::o: Unbelievable right ? :woot:

Lol what I have just read in this thread. Someone comparing military ship to a civilian one. Good going Mr. Markus

Steam catapults were ready for a nuclear aircraft carrier "Ulyanovsk", but ship was not built because of the collapse of the USSR.

Thanks for the information. But was the technology fully developed and matured?
