Future Bangladesh-India relations

thanks for the info...but these sort of news are not new thogh...

You are exactly right. With indian double face, buying media to run propaganda against Bangladesh and then try to act as nothing happend, shows kind of relationship they want. Coercion is one indian technique to advance its hegemonic agenda. indian desire is not for a friendly relation but impose hegemonic relation by keeping a friendly regime in Bangladesh which listens to indian policy dictates.

Problems among India, Pakistan and BD not even God can solve. Reason being very simple that they don;t trust even Gods who different for them. Foundations of these nations are based upon the mistrust when they were created. At best these nations should just learn how to manage their relations. Doesn't matter how good we are for BD, they will alway find some of our motive behind that. As far as Pakistan is concerned, every Pakistani thinks that they are all Allah's messengers and who India should become Islamist state. If I have any say, I will only focus on managing our relations. Thse countries should remember that they are an outcome of a partition and there is no perfect partition. There will be disputes, come what may..

Migration is in Human Nature

for Centuries humans were migrating & they will continue to ...

Now Back on Topic

Coorect. Migration is the birth right of any living being. If this freedom is given to all of us, then there is no reason why there should be nation states in strict sense. British did not come to India with a VISA, neither did come Babur. Wish we have the same again...LOL

We all have many faces my friend. Rather we all need many faces to live in this difficult world. Do u expect us to keep hostile regimes then ? Why do u expect Indians to look other way when there is hostile regime ? Let us be practical. Is it not in your own interest to have friendly relations and not let any anti India activity happen on BD soil?

Yes we still have the law in place (Enemy property). Any Bangladeshi who left Bangladesh after 1965 can anytime come back and claim their property. We still have them under government control. Nobody can buy or sell them. I know few cases when some indian descendant came to BD to claimed those property and sell them in open market.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is complete ****. It has been renamed as the Vested Property Act in 1974 and has remained in guise the same since the enactment by your erstwhile masters. It is notorious to say the least and a state tool to confiscate the property of the Pakistani (East Pakistani) citizens who had left or were force to leave their premises due to the atrocities of the PA. and what holy ****...the stupidest reason given by BD is that they have "ABANDONED" (read kicked out of their houses) by the marauding Pakistani Army. And when you say "they are under govt control", nothing can be more farcical and far from the truth.

This is an internationally accepted fact that it was a policy of the Pakistani Govt and later on the Gonoprojatantrik Bangladesh Sorkar to oust the minority polpulation systematically and demographically it has been proved that it was a state policy to attach the land, property and the belongings of the people who left East Pakistan (READ HINDUS).

You should be knowing very well known cases of Dhirendranath Dutta, and I hope you realise that he was a Hindu, was smartly confiscated by the new born Govt of Bangladesh, under the pretext that his property was within the purview of enemy property.

And yes, I dnt know whether it is deliberate attempt or a mistake, on your part to label something like "Indian descendant" claiming his property from the Govt of Bangladesh, which makes me think that you really are a symphathizer of the BNP. It is the Bengali (Read Hindu) Nobel Prize winner Amartya Sen and his ancestral property.

Yes the Vested Properties Return Act (2001) was implemented in a session boycoted by the opposition BNP and Jamaat members in an effort to make amends for the confiscated property. Thus it is a coomplete hogwash. No progress has been made in returning or compensating lost property under the Khaleda Zia government from 2001-2006.

You have run in to person who knows where things are: my mother's side has lost their property and land through this very ACT!!!! They belonged to Town Sripur of Satkhira Division..

‘Indian agencies offer money to write against Bangladesh’

Indian intelligence agencies offer ‘handsome money’ to journalists to write articles against Bangladesh, and two other neighbouring countries, claimed an Indian journalist.
Arun Rajnath, New Delhi correspondent of the Washington-based online newspaper South Asian Tribune, said he was offered Rs 10,000 per month to write a story against Bangladesh, Pakistan or Nepal. Rajnath’s revelation was published in a special report of the newspaper headlined ‘Indian Officials Harassing South Asia Tribune New Delhi Correspondent’ on July 27.

The report, which had detailed description of the Indian intelligence agencies’ clout on Indian journalists, captures glimpses of the harassment towards journalists who refuse to comply with official directives.
After refusing to be on the payroll of an intelligence agency, Rajnath, who writes on the Indian army and Kashmir, was refused accreditation by the external affairs ministry, and he became the target of frequent intimidating phone calls from the intelligence men.
The correspondent claimed that many top Indian journalists covering news relating external affairs, home, and defence were on the payroll of the security agencies or the ministries concerned, and regularly receive ‘handsome compensation packages’.
Commenting on the report, a Bangladeshi intelligence expert said they have reports that not only Indian journalists, but also a number of Bangladeshi writers are on the payroll of Indian sources.
Mentioning a lack of resources and motivation on the part of Bangladesh’s intelligence agencies, he said, ‘Very little can be done in the existing situation.’

WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE CLAIMS OF A "FREE PRESS" IN INDIA??? :woot::cheesy:

what do you expect in the upcoming future about BD-IND relations now that a pro-secular party with good connections to India have come to power?

our Main issues with India:

1)The waterflow of the rivers
2)Bay of Bengal demarcation
3)cross border trade
4)border security and terrorism

feel free to add more.

if the AL gets these things fixed I promise I won't complain about them being too weak to foreigners.

requests:no flaming please or conspiracy theories.I am looking forward to some real good discussion.

Those are all common problems which every contagious countries are facing for very long time. It supposed to be solved by UN but UN got no time for this or rather I should say a total disgrace, inactive organization. Cultural blockade is one of the issues.

Bangladesh and India have no differences at all to begin with. All we need is a water sharing agreement, and sea border demarcations. Now, with a democratically elected Shiek Hasina govt. in power, we will leave all our differences behind.

no look from a Bagladeshi perspective... it is like this...

HINDOO WORLD DOMINATION
HINDOO CONSPIRATORS , BANGLADESH THE BIG HURDLE IN THEIR NEFARIOUS INTENTIONS
HINDOO TERRORISTS KILLING BANGLADESHIS , INNOCENT BANGLADESHIS, BANGLADESH THE SUPERPOWER HINDOO INDIA ASPIRES TO QUELL.

What you we have to do is to deal with this paranoid generation of Bangladeshi youth that is vocally anti-India, anti-democracy , anti-secularism...

In Japan, one of the issues of Indian writers used to be Pakistan's Nuclear Capabilities and somehow they always encircled on talks like it's a global issue and Pakistan is a Stalin nation! Now their major agenda is China and Chinese involvement in Philippine and Pacific regions. You should read Japanese English Newspapers. They are doing it in everywhere I guess. Pakistan don't have a good image in Japan. Not because of ally of China but for National Instability.

HINDOO WORLD DOMINATION

And how India want to dominate the whole world! With Population? With population you can throw a govt. or Empire like Aurangojeb, but you can never dominate the world. Then? With Economy? It may be possible but yet to go 20-30 yrs and it will only succeed if India surplus other Nations Economic growth by 20 to 30 folds. Which will take more time somewhat around 100 yrs! With Military? That means you need to have Engineering Development. India didn't took any steps but they are not far. Only in 2000, they started to be a developed nation in every sphere which is good but yet India need more innovations. China is keep building things and yesterday they just brought in light their 4th series of stealth fighter which is one of the popular articles of Yahoo! India is far away!

Good luck but sorry! India is not made for rule but may be to be ruled.

Dude...you forgot...as per your so called BD people...Awami league is a agent of India and unfortunately...AL is ruling your nation..Donot you think ...It implies that indirectly eveil Hindoos are ruling your nation....Any way....you might be knowing that india is adding your fav opposition leader to its Dalal list too...slowly and steadily...you guys will relalize that its India and its pets who are ruling your nation.....Of course...it is not that i am saying...it is based on the logic that you guys are saying....:azn:

Bangladeshis are moderate and we don't understand how someone can be that foolish! Your comment is really pathetic and no govt. of Bangladesh was ever puppet of India. Why should we? After liberation in 1971, we were blocked by OIC, we disagreed alliance of US, we didn't become a socialist state what China wanted, we didn't become a Stalin ally what Russia wanted. Bangladesh raised it's nationalism and this is our base! Today Bangladeshis are gaining more and more Global stages,it was never to be possible if Bangladesh was meant to be a puppet state. If we are to be puppet of India, there were no need of liberation war in 1971. Every Bangladeshi must understand it and so should you! India is a large nation and till 2000, in several cases we had to keep silence where we should have take strong stance. Why? Cause we were yet incapable of fighting with Natural disasters, those Indian issues were like more pragmatic issues! Now it is time we should take our stance and this is what happening. Bangladesh is never meant to be "Dalal" and our national causes are always protected and will be protected. Yet, Bangladesh got several pessimist policies to solve, which we must have solved long ago. But, still we are making progress and this is what you must keep in mind.

Dude....I really appriciate that you have clarified....And even i have the same impression about BD...But you know your logic is flawed...Because...your gov who is Awami League...is so called Dalal of India as per your countrymen....That's why told so....So if it think it otherwise...then either AL is not a Dalal then you are not a puppet...

good for you

I believe relation of friendship and trade. We need to encourage BD for a free trade pact and also to let Indian companies to invest there and BD companies in India. It can have immense potential on the growth of the region.
