“I was born in the Patriata village near Murree. I spent my adolescence cutting wood deep inside the jungle, crossing small and large hills to bring back wood to use for fuel.

Serving in the army was in my blood. My forefathers served in the army, so my desire to serve was present since my childhood.

My grandfather, Syed Mushtaq Hussain served in the army’s engineering corps during partition, fought in the 1965 and 1971 wars and was a PoW in Bangladesh in 1971. My father Syed Liaquat Hussain served in the same corps and then retired.

I joined the army in 2000 and served for almost eight years. During the Wana operation in 2008 I was shot in the right side of my chest.

The bullet pierced my chest and damaged 80pc of my right lung, which was why I had to retire. I’m a retired former army commando of the Punjab Regiment.

I’m now working as a bodyguard for the owner of a beauty salon in Satellite Town.

It’s a 14-hour workday and I get two holidays a month. It’s a tough job – it requires both physical and mental toughness.

I’ve been married twice, and I have three kids – one is five, one is three and the youngest is just a year old. I want my sons to follow in my footsteps and join the army.”

May Allah bless you and your family.

Assalam o Alaikum

Mashallah A brave soldier

I was wondering why is he working a 14 hour shift and only two holidays a MONTH?? ( i hope he is talking on top of 2 days off every week)

Is this how we acknowledges and thank our brave soldiers?

Thank you for your service to this country may god bless you for your duty as a son of this nation

Salute to you from everybody in Pakistan. The liberals and anti army people have no idea that its bcz of his soldiers like him that we are safe today and are looking towards prosperity. Thank you for your services. He wants his children to follow his footsteps. Bravo sir.

As for the job. These must be the hours set by the protection agency he is working with. Guard duty is very hard and requires another level of mental and physical level.

he looks strong enough to choke a few terrorists with his bare hands.

Salam aye Jawan for your services for Pakistan and for us. May Allah keep Soldier soul will remain in your blood through your son.

Couldn't he join a PMC to do things like protecting ships or is it too much for his health conditions?

Hats off to you sir, Thank you for service. :pakistan:
I feel uneasy that he can be targeted for revenge
one thing my brother who hang their uniform for "other duties" (for the state) need to do is ensure that the people like him and their families are kept out of the harms way of the revenge attacks by the terrorists and their sympathisers
years ago I was fearing something like APS where the families of the armed personnel might be targeted .

due to some challenges in the leadership and the environment, the terrorists became very fearless and overt during 2008 onwards.. opening taliban station , running intel operations seeking those people and their families who were against them.

i wish for a day where our children dont have to hide the fact that their parents are part of anti polio drive, belong to police or armed forces and that mention like the story above will be an inspiration, not a f that the local terrorist group will add that person in their hit list
