From Quaid to Bana

Any learned reply from Pakistani side?
This article missed out a lot of stuff.

Operation Rajiv (Assault on Quaid post) was a success but with heavy casualties on the Indian side. Indian forces only managed to take the peak after Pakistani soldiers ran out of supplies and ammunition.

Quaid post was manned by around 7 Pakistani soldiers of the Shaheen company (SSG); out of which 6 died defending the post. Not to mention, the Indians had artillery support.

The Peak was at an altitude of 6447 m, making it very hard to get supplies through (at the time of the operation, supplies were already cut).

Multiple attempts were made to take the post.

2 Indians were killed prior to the assault during a firefight at Sonam.

First attempt was led by Second Lieutenant Rajiv Pande with 13 men, but ended up disastrously as 10 Indian soldiers were gunned down including Rajiv Pande himself.

Second attempt was made by Varinder Singh leading a platoon whom retreated back to base without any success.

Third attempt was by Harnam Singh's team who lost 3 men and many wounded before retreating as well.

Fourth attempt was of Sandar Chand's team followed by remainder forces. His forces managed to reach the peak and commence a tough fight - but the attack was quickly abandoned after Havildar Ram Dutt was gunned down.

At this point, Pakistani soldiers were out of supplies and ammunition.

The fifth and final attempt was made by Bana Singh and Varinder from two sides. After a massive artillery barrage, the assault began. The two teams finally reached the peak and initiated hand to hand melee. After the peak was taken, 6 Pakistani bodies were found.

Both sides showed amazing bravery and determination, respect to Indian forces involved in the fight.

You do know, we're talking about Operation Rajiv... not the Siachen war in whole.

In whole, India lost 846 soldiers compared to Pakistan's 213.

The light infantry played a more important part than the SSG in the war and in nowhere of the articles you listed; does it mention, that the SSG lost "40 men".

There is no credible source for this claim.

"Further attempts to reclaim positions were launched by Pakistan in 1990, 1995, 1996 and even in early 1999, just prior to the Lahore Summit. The 1995 attack by Pakistan SSG was significant as it resulted in 40 casualties for Pakistan troops without any changes in the positions"

because Pakistan hold No Strategic Peaks in Siachen Are men Sitting on heights

The Indian army controls all of the 70 kilometres (43 mi) long Siachen Glacier and all of its tributary glaciers, as well as the three main passes of the Saltoro Ridge immediately west of the glacier—Sia La, Bilafond La, and Gyong La—thus.

While I believe you, they attacked many times, what was Pak army doing all that time? Why they didnt initiated offense to save these 8 soldiers.

What epic fail expected from troll like you

Your caparing standand-off OP version

A combat operations which let territory change

Unlike we don't have legacy of hiding casualties in war

Unlike ISPR we don't do Propaganda still won't except kargil death :lol::enjoy:

The Indian government states 798 armed forces personnel were fatally injured during the 11 month standoff mostly due to mine laying, faulty equipment and artillery duels without clear political aims. Even the worst estimate puts the death toll at 1000 [International sources].

On the other hand, Pakistan at the least suffered around 500 dead [probably more]. They are downplaying it for PR sake. The same was done during and after the Kargil War. Pakistan claimed they were terrorists and only a few hundred were killed during the conflict. But actual reports later showed that the casualty list for Pakistan and their light infantry regiments who made the attack to be close to 4000 casualties. Parakaram was probably the same for them.

The supply base was targeted before the final operation. This made things untenable.

Causalities Pakistani's are unknown
They not even recorded by youbside like kargil

Your army release

Official fake figures 9 years after the kargil war what fail

How can anybody give a source, when the Army refused to accept that its Pakistanis up there and its own dead? The only logical conclusion is, any figures given by ISPR for Kargil, is false and a face saving measure.

Kargil is gone. I am talking about Operation Parakram. Read the post again before replying.
