Above Video shows Participation of Turkish Troops in Parade of Pakistan day in 1958 (perhaps at that time parade was conducted on 14th august instead of 23rd March)


After a long time we saw our Armed forces parade last year................... it was a great Moral boost for Pakistan and it helped a lot to restore faith of common people on capabilities of Pakistan military..............

This coming 23rd March, we all will wait for National day parade of this year.................. what new weapons will be shown? Its unknown yet................... to be honest to keep surprise alive it is necessary............... but what I want to say is that There is need to invite Troops from Allied countries to parade on our national day, shoulder to shoulder............ it sends a clean message to hostile nations and also a sign of friendship and brotherhood.........
Presence of Troops from China, Turkey and Saudia Arabia will mark new heights in our symbolic relations..........

Imagine seeing all our Comrades with our armed forces............!

Where did you get that idea from? They have a number of disagreements, but they continue to have decent ties. In fact, isn't China going to be increasing it's investment in Turkey soon?

yeah they are, but the hostility between Chinese people and Turks are clear ..

Not really. Again, its mostly disagreements on geopolitics, not hostility. Americans and Canadians downright disagree with each other on a large number of issues, you'd think we hate each other, but we don't.

For gawds sakes why can't Pakistan Army change their ceremonial uniforms? There was a time their combat uniforms were also terrible (sort of British Dad's Army 1940s) but now PA combat uniform is almost 10/10.

A parade is to impress. Uniform plays vital part in creating the "look". In my opinion in the above pictures Turks/Chinese come out top with Saudia losing to Pak and taking the bottom slot.

Sorry, I don't agree with this idea. No disrespect intended to our great allies but this is national day of Pakistan. I prefer to keep it strictly a Pakistani affair. After all defence and strength of Pakistan is no one's responsibility but ours and ours only. I would rather like a follow on event (an exhibition sort actually) which showcases our culture, music, art, industrial and scientific capability. Again strictly Pakistani and civillian dominated. Remember Pakistan is made up of both and our military stands on the shoulders of progress made in other areas. Event should be in the afternoon and open to general public and foreigners. Let people feel proud of softer side of Pakistan as well.

For that you need strong leadership. Leadership has the power to inspire and unite. If you are implying Pakistan takes that role, then first we have to put ourselves in order. All Muslim militaries can March together, no problem. But everyone knows it will be a hollow exercise.
