For me burqini ban is worst sort of regression in the west . After all which women who has to wear burqa by force will be allowed to wear burqini . It's easy to prove the risk. You can conceal a suicide vest under a burqini and beaches are public places with high density of people - hence can be a preferred target for psychopaths.
Also, unlike other public places like airports or cinemas, beaches are not single entry points that can be manned by personnel with metal or explosive detectors.

What's so difficult to understand especially after the spate of attacks in France recently.

This has nothing to do with human rights. If you are so concerned about chastity, have a dip in your private swimming pool or bath tub and wear a burqini by all means while doing so.
