What's new

French girl strips atop sacred Uluru , sparks Australia wide outrage .

I'm with the french chick, if the site is regularly used for naked dancing, then is it offensive just because she is french?

To Aboriginals this place is as sacred as , Makkah to us Vatican city to Christians is .

Climbing Uluru is not allowed in Aboriginal traditions and the only reason why they used to dance naked because they didn't had any Idea what clothes look like at that time & now no one dances there naked.

I just wana see that stupid chick deported from This country.

If the rock was so sacred why open it to the tourist in the first place. I disagree with this notion that she has disrespected and should be deported(talk about being a religious fanatic). If a place is open to tourism, one can expect such things to happen. Comparing them with Macca or vatican is not right as laws are already put in place for such places, they are not your every day tourist places unlike the mountain.
Australian government should declare the place sacred and banned any tourist climbing and then if someone disobeys throw them out but not before.

:) wooh if she had done that on top of a Mosque than You guys would never had called for her deporting or any condemnation rather paranoid newly found neo-liberals would have called it FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION

While french may be arrogant but the Australians are well known all over the world as racists.

On the other hand you would have called for her beheading and burned down her parent country's embassies in a few countries.

BTW who's 'ýou guys'? In this case its some of the aboroginals who are calling for her deportation. Not every issue is an opportunity to take potshots at the 'liberals', they are more consistent and more humane than most of 'ýou guys':lol::lol:

If she did that on hunuman temple even then i would have condemned it. Now dont tell me in that case you would have appreciated the action.

Freedom of expression with regard to religion should have some sanity.

People are discouraged from climbing the rock, but you can't stop people if they do want to climb it. It's not like you can build a fence around it or hire security to guard all around it.

Also the place has been declared sacred and is world heritage listed.

If your not going to participate in the discussion topic but instead insult millions of people, it would be best if you not post here.

How many times have you been to Australia - stop spreading the BS based on Indian rants about Australians.

And so should how the 'offended' people react to it.

A person given to gross generalisations about indians and french should not be lecturing others.

I personally found French extremely offensive and arrogant , they don't have respect for anything that may matter to anyone they just simply don't care.

They need to get a brain and stop their chesty attitude towards Religious beliefs and towards other Nationalities.

And just why not? Is the task so difficult? You dont need to fence the place to stop somebody once the government bans the place for tourist, people will stop going there.

Well i wont argue with you over this one as your flag shows you are currently residing in Australia, so definitely you have the first hand info however a couple of years ago a friend of mine who went to Australia on a student visa met me after a year he spent there and presented a very similar opinion to what ☪☪☪☪ have said.

I think the australian law is better to handle this our opinion makes no difference

But if the video can be submited for review I would review the findings and then decide if it was indeep a bad offence

Well australians don't even recognize the lost indian generation so I doubt they will do anything to help the native indians

Nudity is actually very spiritual and the aboriginals who live traditionally, are (almost completely) naked most of the time themselves.. So no scandal. No need for an "outcry"..

I think this will be over soon without any need for deportations and the likes.
I'm glad she didn't do it on a mosque though (because she would be dead now probably..)

*edit*
Did she even get naked? Is the video just cutting out the best bit?
