French companies keen to invest in Pakistan’s automobile industry!

French car companies Renault Citroën Peugeot are famous in small cars. Small cars with latest technologies and smaller turbo engines (cc based custom and tex system of Pakistan) are very suitable. If we compare world wide Renault is most suitable and would be very successful competing Japs.

But with the pressure of the people of Pakistan there will be new automobile industries setting up plants in Karachi so that people of Pakistan can enjoy other cars as well well are sick tired of Japanese cars out of 100 cars in street in Pakistan you will see 99 cars of Japanese origin we should go for European cars as well as it will give better choices to people of Pakistan as well as put pressure on local Japanese car assemblers to reduce their prices. Gwadar is more suitable because the car manufacturers will get 10yrs of tax free incentive and they can export cars to Gulf countries....in that way this deal can create more jobs in our country, baloch people in gwadar can get job and work , & and after 10yrs of free tax incentives we can earn a good money

We currently have very little choice of cars in Pakistan. We also have a habit of ignoring local brands that can be far cheaper like Adam Revo and Firebird motorcycles from Eagle.

You are in Dubai too. I have also stayed in Lucknow. Even they have a larger collection of cars than us. Low FDI is a major threat to the economy.

There is a Hyundai Plant .... it will working but its cars are not soo popular in Pakistan because of design and price ......not worth paying for what they are offering... Yes with Gwadar port is getting ready and its proximity with gulf region we must take the advantage of this situation and offer more lucarative incentives to these car companies to build and operate their plants on gwadar soo they can cut their cost of transport and export their product to GCC countries and also to Central Asian countries with cecp

In India, importing used car invite 160% duty, this makes it expensive than newer models.

I highly dislike French car makers. If it is to happen then the French should invest money in Car mechanic training as well to complement french cars in Pakistan.

I will take even some Namibian car makers to begin with,,, this is a HUGE market,, will bring in lots of foreign exchange and create lots of job. PLUS, we may finally get rid of a 8.5 Lakh Mehran.
Our governments never focused on this sector, primarily because the existing manufacturers have monopoly and manage to bribe the gov any government officials out of any such idea. I hope this now is also not just talking,, we need to focus in this sector, get in international makers and that will be a big plus for EVERYONE,, a win win!!
