There is no way the two situations can be compared.
Sure , but also depends on how things unfold in future, we never know what situation/conflicts awaits us in future.

Well, even in WW2 we didn't join since we valued our own interests and put our own agenda first. Thanks for bringing that up. In WW2 India also didn't have their own agenda. They only followed the orders of the UK. IMHO it was indeed master / slave relationship. In WW1 and WW2 it was MASTER and SLAVES. My friend what happened to the Automan Empire after WW1 though you were on the wining side. Today wars are different and yes except for the invasion of Afghanistan Turkey did not approve to be part of USA.

IMHO I think you are wrong. US wanted Turkey to join invasion of Iraq in 2003. We disagreed. With the fight against ISIS. We rejected them again since we value our own interests too. We have our own agenda. India doesn't have these capabilities. When UK said we are going to invade the middle-east in WW1. They took a sh1tload of Indian young men and send them to the front lines as cannonfodder. IMHO there is a difference between making your own choices and others making the choices for you.
India is never going to be in a direct conflict with the EU or France- their respective spheres of interest to not intersect so there is little to be gleaned in comparing the Mistral deal of Russia to the Rafale/Scorpene deal for India.Sure , but also depends on how things unfold in future, we never know what situation/conflicts awaits us in future.
The Ottoman Empire was on the losing side, together with Germany and Austria.
While mainland Turkey was not affected, the Ottoman Empire lost control over a very large part
of its territories..

Technically WW1 was won by both sides due to Armistice.
An armistice is a formal agreement of warring parties to stop fighting. It is not necessarily the end of a war, since it might be just a cessation of hostilities while an attempt is made to negotiate a lasting peace. It is derived from the Latinarma, meaning weapons and statium, meaning a stopping.
Ottoman Empire down fall was for other reasons. That would be off topic.

lol Bro, just like my friend Atawolf said the Turkey was on the losing side of the war just like Germany and Austria. Everybody knows this. This was the main reason which led to the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. Just like we lost our empire even after 'winning' the second world war. It was indeed this war which brought an abrupt end to our mighty Empire.
