Population can change. Climate change will make Russia's population grow to more than 1 billion. Plus, even if there is no people in most of Russia, the land has lots of natural resources like forests, oil, gas, iron ore, uranium.

Economy means nothing for a state. Russia can build 100 aircraft carriers even if Russia has no economy. For a state, everything is done by state order.

The smoke is because those engine date back to the 1970s. Most engines from that era had smoke trails. The rest of your claims are rubbish with no technical backing.

The pak-fa's engine is still in development, as for avionics, no one knows anything about the pak-fa's avionics, but i can assure you that it is lightyears ahead of the JF-17's avionics.

And if Russian military equipment is so worthless then why does Russia outsell China by a long shot? Why is even Pakistan starting to purchase Russian equipment?
