India is buying them and that's the reason we won't buy. If we need better military equipment it's only to defend Bangladesh against India.I hope BD buys French Rafaels as it will be easier to maintain them as India will also operate those and the close relationship between both will help BD.

If 16 plane already bought, then I won't mind if they get some extra rafale ( let's say 8), it will help us because we will know the method of rafale and it could be beneficial in war time. Not sure though, it's just my assumption.
India is not ally. They are just friendly neighbour at best. India can never be ally in reality. Even not after the alliance between India and Pakistan ( if it ever happens). It's clear now. So war can be obvious when friendly neighbour will turn to inimical neighbour. We are not going to buy their enmity though, but if they cross the limit we will not sit hand on hand. But India is closest ally of BD, and even BD government acknowledge that, then why war possible with India??
Provocative remarks won't help improving relationship between Muslims, but it will create more division and the result will favour anti Muslim nations. Move on from 1971, other than some clowns nobody in Bangladesh care the past event. Thank you. After all they created BD in animosity with Pakistan.

PM is not pro Indian. But whatever, we don't have to be apologetic about it. And for the rest keep thinking and parroting whatever make you feel better. Topic close.Reality bites, without Indian full fledged involvement BD was never possible, at most East Pakistan would have received more autonomy in internal matters.
If past is forgotten then why anti Pakistan and pro India PM and Government in BD since long, on every possible occasion BD shows its hatred towards Pakistan.

You people are no different then hypocrite Indian, the way BD have behaved against Pakistan since long and you think Pakistanis are stupid and not see how their country is being treated.
Pakistani Government still don't oppose BD on international forums till they have no other choice, and may sell JFT if BD wants.
On topic, if Rafale is offered then grab it as it serve the purpose of BD well.
Hatred comes from hatred anyways, East Pakistan would have never had more autonomy it would have done the way of BaluchistanReality bites, without Indian full fledged involvement BD was never possible, at most East Pakistan would have received more autonomy in internal matters.

Best option is Rafale as it more multirole then EFT and will be better asset in NCW warfare, it will be force multiplier for BD.
Bull's eye! It's really less derogatory for Niazi force to accept defeat from professional soldiers ( be it Hindu or not ) than accepting defeat from their own rebel people ( Bengali) who received only few days basic training of arms from East Bengal regiment.it’s funny how Pakistanis mock India can’t beat them but then would rather admit getting whopped by Hindu soldiers for 14 days than rice farmers and fishermen for 8 months... I guess admitting the latter is worse...

Good points, thanks for sharing your opinion. I wish our armed forces will act wisely and will get whatever is good for us.Rafale simply cannot be an option for BAF because India has ordered 36 and thinking of buying another 36.
French for their own interests have to sell as much weapons as possible abroad in order to maintain a competitive weapons industry.
8 Rafale's is not a good idea as the cost per plane would be astronomical as a dedicated infrastructure would have to set up just for a handful of planes.
On the frigate issue, I would be wary of going European as BN's real adversary is IN and not MN. For geopolitical reasons, EU is likely to favour India over the next decades and so better to go with a Chinese design, as that will be immune to sanctions against India and it will be cheaper to boot.
For 16 plane MRCA - buy US(F-16/F-18) or EU(Euro-fighter) and for 6 frigate next-gen programme, licence a Chinese design based on a cut-down Type-052D destroyer.
