100%, trust me from people who have met him, he has Pakistani friends. There's a video of him campaign in areas with large Pakistani populations, Birmingham to be exact, and people greeting him on the streets.
He's also done more to stem the real haters of Muslims than many people e.g. he left UKIP when an anti-Islam politician took control and the party collapsed overnight.
