Shutting down so called mosques and schools are parts of 'commercial Islam' , not political. Real political Islam doesn't yet exist. When it will come into existence, no one will be able to shut it down. When politics is deducted from Islam, it can no longer be called Islam.

First time I've heard what your saying and its deep. People who commercialize Islam are very active people, opening mosques for profit, shops, book stores, clothes stores, meat stores. They give it Islamic names such as Sunnah store, sunnah clothing or Tawheed Plaza. What kind of names are these? Feels evil using Islam to make profit. If one store name is PakStore and other SunnahStore, some people may only go SunnahStore because of its name and brand, that it follows sunnah.

It is strange that a left leaning government in France is taking this position. France has a significant Muslim minority population and many practicing Muslims would like to live under some form of Sharia if given a choice. This type of statements may offend the community.

India is also trying to implement something like this with the uniform civil code. But it will not be easy for GOI.

what people don't understand is the hypocrisy behind this..

while im no fan of Saudi supported mosques and wahabi breeding grounds. The western states, france included have made HEAVY use of propaganda regarding "freedom" and "oppression" to carry out heinous crimes in other countries and topple governments.

for example the west constantly attacks Iran for supposedly "oppressing" the Bahai.. meanwhile everyday we see a new western state make a new law that somehow restricts or ban muslim activities... Today it might be things most people can get behind like "no face covering", "ban on some mosques" etc.etc..

tomorrow they go 1 step further.... ban on headscarves. ban on all mosque.... and the next day they take the next step.... these western hypocrites don't have a leg to stand on anymore... its laughable
