Four Ways Pakistan Can Shoot Drones

How many times i will have to listen this from you- Well i am sure that the above scenario is your wildest fantasy-

Till the truth gets to those fanbois , like the one who wrote this cr@p of an article, who think they can shoot down a US drone.

Tell me one thing- What is the use of a drone if it is escorted by f-18 or f-15 which are armed to the teeth with AMRAAMS- Cant the fighters just carry AGM?-

Yes AGMs if the third option is used and AMRAAM if the fourth option is used. :smokin:

are you in senses ....

He is perfectly in his senses sir.

The Drones are operated from US AFBs in continental US and not somewhere in Afghanistan.

Hey Indian fanboy wetting his pants thinking about unreal prospects, the Pakistan Air Force has already shot down a US spy plane in 2002 near its nuclear facilities in Kasur.

Congrats now try shooting down all those drones killing your civilians.

US is THE UN dude.

BTW I will tell what will happen when you shoot down a drone. The next drone will come with F-18 or a F-15 escort armed to the teeth with AMRAAMS. Still you wll go ahead and try your luck ?

Let me tell you something mate!! if US is THE UN as u claimed, then thats even better, that means it has no place to run to :P.. btw.. u've been given a nice answer by GR.. i think u really are living in your wildest fantasies.. mate.. civilized world works in kinda different way.. besides, no matter how advanced technology US has.. it will NEVER risk another war.. and that also against a country like Pakistan..

Oh wait for a little while.. US is only aggressive b'coz of our passive government.. the moment it changes, you'll see drones running away with their tails in their @$$.. just like from chawinda

This will be the stupidest decision as it might be considered as an official declaration of war against our ally in the global war on terror.

One might think that sending an unauthorized drone to kill civilians is a declaration of war in itself.

The second option involves killing the drone without air encounter or even firing anything towards the drone. Drones receive communication signals from their Ground Control Stations through a satellite based datalink. It is possible to jam or intercept the communication link between the drone and the Ground Control Station. Pakistan has an option to choose the most suitable Electronic Warfare suite from its inventory to intercept the guidance signal and get the drone down unguided. This is the most viable option as Pakistan would not like to lose any precious aircraft or a missile in its inventory for a drone.

Agreed. This is the best option since it doesn't result in the destruction of US property so they have no excuse to blame Pakistan.

Does the author not know that if drones are jammed or lose datalink they are programmed to return to base?

And what's wrong with that? That suits us just fine.

Why does everyone blame the Pakistani leaders and politicians, you think if the Pakistan military wanted to do something about the drone attacks, Zardari would be able to stop them?

It is not in Pakistan's interests to go on a full scale war with the US, not because it can't do so, it most certainly can. However, Pakistan would lose the support of the international world if it openly engages in a war with the US. Losing credibility & ties with the world could be detrimental to Pakistan's future.

Thats a fact that Pakistan will not shoot any drone.. reason being.. Politicians are being heavily paid.. btw.. u said.. PAF knows what will happen.. and apparently you know it too.. please enlighten us.. What will happen? Shall i give u a hint??.. US will run towards UN as someone else did in the past to pull PA back..

sounds familiar?
I will tell you what will happen once you shoot down a drone:

1. USAF/CIA will send another drone escorted by two F-15's. This drone will take care of the targets that the original drone was supposed to destry but couldn't. The F-15's will bomb the hell out of your airbase from where the attack priginated.

2. NATO gunships will send a few of your rangers/whatever on the AfPak boorder to heaven.

3. The K-L bill will be scrapped. All other forms of civil/military aid to Pakistan will be suspended.

4. Lockheed Martin will be prohibited from supplying any spares for your F-16's in the future. Other US based defense equipment manufacturers will also be ordered the same.

5. A few US senators, sponsored by the Indian lobby, will bring a new bill branding Pakistan a terrorist state and asking for imposing sanctions upon Pakistan.

6. The US assets inside Pakistan will openly start targetting ISI assets. Imagine a few more Raymond Davis'.

7. A lot of other economic shyt will follow.

8. Your people will eat grass for a few more years to come.

And this is supposing you don't reply back to the US. If you do, then you can imagine what the next steps will be.

.

Why would you need to "escort" a drone? The whole point is to keep pilots safe....

They already do that without the "drone strike opposition" incentive.

7. A lot of other economic shyt will follow.

Can it really get any worse?

The US has already significantly reduced the number of drone strikes inside Pakistan since the Raymond Davis affair. Meaning it is the ISI that is dictating terms to the CIA. Why would the Pakistan Air Force feel the need to shoot down a drone when they're getting significantly reduced anyways, & the ISI is dictating terms to the CIA? Stop getting so emotional & look at the situation objectively.

Just to scare off the PAF. and attack the PAF base from where the attack originated.

No they don't. They brought a bill explicitly branding Pakistan a terrorist state.

Can it really get any worse?

Oh it can get far worse that this with IMF, WB/EU/trade sanctions/arms imbargo etc. But that will be if Pakistan chooses to reply aggressively to these particular steps by the US.

:) I, for one, will have a lot of fun.

This is temporary phase. Wait till uncle petraeus takes charge of CIA. The drone will resume to their full vigour shortly.
