Carrier strike group would be a huge plus, because with the carrier comes a bunch of other surface ships.

Hindustan's submarine fleet is rather abysmal, or at least, the Western command's is.

Attacking India does not mean China will go to war with US. As usual, US will just ask their pawn to fight. If that was the case, a dozen Chinese vessels wouldn't be prowling in IOR now.
