I already do that, Hinduism is a blessed mixture of vedic, jains, buddhism and many more ideas. I try to follow to whatever limits I can.

Nah, I am sure you don't. Read those three links on Jain customs first and then tell me. :)

Hmm... i alredy have been following many things because of my own rational thinking.
As I have said before I am not a jain and I don't follow that religion and hence my views are not from jainism point of view but very much from my own thinking.

Well I don't believe in a blanket ban, but I deeply respect Jain people.
I have always rescued ants, spiders, moths etc in trouble and thought nothing of it. One day I did the same thing, this time in a public park, I helped a bee who was on the floor after a hard day's work collecting nectar. I picked her up, saving her from being trodden. I then gave her some orange juice, scientists say a brief "pick me up" sugar shot is enough to get them off the ground again, and that is exactly what happened and she flew off. An Asian gent came up to me and asked me my faith and ethnic origin, when I told him he was surprised and shook my hand, introducing himself as a Jain and how he loved what I did.

you remind me of my grandma. She always taught me these teachings when I was a kid and I have followed these during most of my life. I have saved many ant's in my lifetime myself.
Glad you like Jain teachings.

Neither does sweeping the issue under the rug. Either take every single issue seriously or not at all, no more half @ssed attempt at Secularism.

He was angrily calling out for ban on Yulin dog meat festival.
