Overseas Network December 24th Local time Monday (24th), former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif (Nawaz Sharif) was sentenced by the country's accountable court to seven years in prison for corruption allegations.
In a comprehensive report by the Pakistan Daily and the Associated Press, the Pakistani court sentenced Sharif to seven years in prison on one of two corruption allegations and acquitted on another. In addition to seven years in prison, Sharif is also subject to a fine and his property will be confiscated.
The report said that Sharif still has the right to appeal the judgment. Sharif expressed his wish to serve his sentence at Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore, the capital of Punjab, instead of serving his sentence at Adiala jail.
