QUETTA: Former boxing Olympian and director of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), Syed Abrar Hussain Shah was killed in Quetta on Thursday.
Hussain was leaving Ayub Stadium and was shot when he was getting into the car. He died as a result of a bullet wound to the head.
Express 24/7 correspondent, Arzoo Rehman reported that unidentified gunmen on motorcycles had opened fire on Hussain when he was leaving the stadium. He was hit by four bullets.
He was reported to be seriously injured and was moved to Civil Hospital, but had to be moved to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) due to lack of facilities.
Police are investigating the case.
Hussain had participated in the 1984 Olympics held in Los Angeles and had won a gold medal at the South Asian Games in 1985.
