Former Amnesty India chief Aakar Patel says BJP is the real enemy, not China

A quote from Churchill frequently used to demonstrate that while democracy has its faults but still is better than authoritarianism.

Don't get me wrong, Churchill was a great man. But this quote is utter bullsh!t. Just because he is Churchill doesn't make it right.

Want another example? How about the widely quoted “first they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win” by Mahatma Gandhi? What a fantasy that is! The reality for you people is “first they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then they beat you, then they laugh at you again - because you never learn!"

BJP and Hindutva are going to rule India for the foreseeable future.

Let the haters hate and we love them seeing hate us. :enjoy:
Looks like there is no unity in India which Country needs in such times. Government and opposition fighting each other and saying traitor each other, Looks like time has changed in India where personal or party interest comes first than country.:pop:

That's the problem of your lot. You don't have a single competent minister outside Gadkari, and think you will lift India out of the ruins, whatever you define as ruins.

This speaks for itself. Anyone reading this passage can have no doubt about the mental capacity of these column makers.

It has nothing to do with secularism. It has to do with country bumpkin prejudices disguised by a newly job-endowed class of techno-coolies who think they have a handle on history, sociology and governance thanks to WhatsApp echo boxes convincing each other that they have it right.

You are just applying the accelerator to a skidding car. If you are damaging the nation, then it IS our problem.

Most millennials and Generation Z's in India are pathetic. Their hatred for the "elder generation" is very visible. Almost foaming at the mouth. When will this Generation wuss man up and accept their own responsibilities instead of blaming all their ills on Nehru and Sonia Gandhi?

No wonder the Generation wuss Internet forum superstars got such a hiding from the Chinese in Ladakh, and earlier the Pakistanis served them fantastic tea.

Very witty. The only trouble is that it happened the way Gandhi said.

Indians of today's generation have become extremely pathetic, self-serving, and entitled. Especially the ones born in the mid-90's and later. They are very disrespectful towards their elders who certainly have more wisdom and experience. They have absolutely no desire to step out of their frog wells.

Also their taste in music, movies, and everything else is absolutely horrible. I can't even have a two minute conversation with these bozos because of how brain dead they truly are.

Maybe they will become wiser with age but I don't see any such possibility. I mean even I was 20-21 at some point of time, but I sure as hell wasn't as pathetic as the current generation of Indians. I was a very rebellious person but never disrespected anyone with more age/experience than me.

I can understand. Mere age group ke jo Indian dost hai mere un mein se kafi saare closeted bhakts hai. I have to compartmentalize my friendship with them, ke acha ignore their bhakt side and engage with them otherwise. I don't know what is it with Indian millennials and being drawn to Modi and BJP?

The sensible Indians on this forum are all older. You, Joe dada.

Believe it or not, us older Indians like younger Pakistanis better than the younger Indians. The Pakistanis haven't forgotten their traditional values which happen to be very similar to the values of us older Indians.

This new generation of Indians have come from Planet Mars or Jupiter. Nothing they say or do makes sense to me.

I must sadly agree in part. However, there is a vigorous and active and vocal lot of young Indians who are as opposed to the zombies you two have described as it is possible to be.

Perhaps overseas, they tend to get drowned in the general morass of the brain-dead.

Interesting, didn't Gandhi made something you call fantasy a reality?
