For the first time, India uses 'right to reply' to cut short Pak's Kashmir blame game - The Economic Times

NEW DELHI: Amid reports of Prime Minister Narendra Modi meeting his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif at Ufa in Russia, the two countries were locked in a bitter tussle at the ongoing United Nation Human Rights Council meeting in Geneva where New Delhi, for the first time, used its 'right to reply' to send a strong message to its neighbour. The right to reply is a special rule allowing a delegate to interrupt a speaker.

Under the Modi government, there has been a constant endeavour to name and shame Pakistan at international forums and the opportunity was used by India's delegation in Geneva as well.

In a statement, India also criticised Pakistan's move to raise matters related to J&K at the UN forum and asked Islamabad to look deep within over killings of innocent children at Peshawar in December 2014.

"A part of the territories of our state remains under the forcible and illegal occupation of Pakistan. It is unfortunate that in recent times the people of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir have become victims of sectarian conflict, terrorism and extreme economic hardship because of Pakistan's occupation and discriminatory policies," India said at the UN.

The provocation came from Pakistan. It said: "The people of J&K have been denied their right to selfdetermination, subjected to consistent and forceful foreign occupation and their democratic rights have been usurped and suppressed by conduction of sham elections at gun-point."

The rebuttal from India underlined the fact that J&K has recorded 65% voter turnout in the recently concluded assembly polls, despite threats from Pakistan-based terror groups.

I am not for any Modi's meeting with Pakistani PM until Pakistan punishes or handovers Hafeez Saeed, Lakhvi and Dawood to India. It is a insult to people who were killed in those terrorist acts.

No.

And if it was true, it would be in poor taste to laugh and enjoy it. Ask yourself why the notion of Sikhs being murdered (even if only in your imagination) makes you so happy.

I find it amusing in relation to Modi's statement.

Words are not going to change ground realities. India playing Nazi germany in Kashmir is not going to win you the people. 50 years of genocide, rape and child murdering is going to change their perception and it has. Only so much people can take and their mind is made.

I hope one day Indian leadership matures enough to understand what it has done and own up. Put things right. It sure isn't on my conscience.

These childish statements are

Clearly, you haven't been to Indian Kashmir. But sure, whatever jiggles your rocks.

BTW how much is "so much"?

Yes, of course, only under Modi was the 'right to reply' used, though observers were puzzled why the Indian UN delegate went outside the building and directed said 'right to reply' at a flock of pigeons fluttering around the UN courtyard.

They're so proud of being scared to let Pakistani's speak.
:omghaha:
Did you also know that Modi is the first Indian PM to take a selfie while farting publicly... Until now, Indian Prime Ministers, especially Cangress ones, were not known to possess the ability of flatulence.

Modi is now planning to fart just as he shakes Nawaz Sharifs hand at their next meeting, as part of Modi's concerted effort to 'name and shame' Pakistan.

And then another proud Indian poster will open a thread with the title 'India for the first time used their name and shame privilege against Pakistan'.
:omghaha:

Wait a minute, I just discovered this amazing Ancient Hindu invention (no doubt by Modi's four fathers) called google, which, upon typing in some super secret ancient Sanskrit keywords, revealed to me that there have in fact been several instances of India (and Pakistan) exercising their 'right to reply' in the UN, like this one:

Right of Reply (26 September 2014)
First Declaration:
Speaking in exercise of the right of reply, the representative of India responded to “unwarranted references” made by Pakistan's Prime Minister in his speech, stressing that Jammu and Kashmir had peacefully chosen their future. He rejected in their entirety the comments made.

Ohhhhh snap ... Modi and his sycophants busted yet again concocting non existent acts of bravado that have 'put Pakistan in its place' ...

Third eye - you know, seriously, I've enjoyed our debates. You aren't usually one of the nut cases, but see my previous post about how this 'right to reply' has been used many, many times in the past, by both countries, in UN debates.

This nonsense in the Indian media by Pakistan hating Modi sycophants is getting out of control. We just got debunking the whole 'India dissed China by taking Pakistan to the APG for terror financing scrutiny' tamasha - India did nothing there because every APG member undergoes regular scrutiny as part of the membership requirements.

Seriously, someone in your media needs to wake-up and start calling out, naming and shaming these idiots coming up with these stories to blow hot air up Modi's rear end.

:omghaha::omghaha::omghaha: A madarssah educated mullah is here. Don't worry if you are provided 'Right to Reply' then you can use it otherwise face the sweet chin music :haha:. The UN delegate told Pakistan that you are getting slapped by India by 'Right to Reply' And you can't have right to reply or do anything because you are on Beggar to other countries and are a failed nation :D.
Did you Also that Modi Kicked your Nawaz Sharif in his @ss when he was told that not to meet Huriyat leaders and he started Farting like a donkey:lol::lol: and went Pakistan farting countinously.

Now Modi has Told Pakistan that If you are so much Eager to meet me in SCO then you will have to repeat that Farting exercise. And Nawaz Sharif has accepted that invitation once again.:D:D Now be ready to smell the fart of your beloved Pm in SCO. :D
