Show me one thing that was developed in east Pakistan during Pakistan era.... everything that's ancient are British era stuff, heck a year or two back they finally retired this god forsaken steam roller boat that served since god knows what British era reign. And who paid back the largest share of the World Bank loans back during the 1960s?
US aid was meant for the whole of Pakistan and not just the West.
Awesome own goal!

Oh building schools and universitiies is trivial workThese are trivial and cost next to nothing.
Anything major like huge bridges or massive power stations?
Oh building school and universitiies is trivial work
By the way how many bridges and power station are built by Bangladesh since 1971.
Please donot mention PADMAR BRIDGE .
Building a bridge is your biggest achivement.Jamuna bridge is our biggest achivement after independence.

We need to stop blaming pakistanis for everything and start blaming our incompetent politicians. Pakistani politicians are corrupted no doubt but much more capable then ours.
Pakistan deserves blame as well as our own politicians.
No matter how much out own politicians steal and loot, it is nothing
compared to what the Pakistanis did.
Building a bridge is your biggest achivement.
I was talking about their capabilities. Sometimes i feel partition of india was a bad idea.
Brother I feel very sorry for a nation of 160 million people whose biggest achievement are bridges and power stations.Yes as they cost very little money.
Jamuna Bridge is one example and 950MW Ghorashal power station is another.
Edit - Padma Bridge is 50% complete and work has stated on the gigantic Roopur nuclear plant now.
Pakistan deserves blame as well as our own politicians.
No matter how much our own politicians steal and loot, it is nothing

As I gone thorough the old record I was astonished to see that it was policy of govt of pakistan to build every institution simultaneousely both in east and west pakistan.I am sure If BD were East pakistan then you guys would have been! You want to live under fanatical Hindu rule like the Muslims in India currently?
Yes, BD politicians are bad but at least they are our own and not outsiders who will loot, loot and keep looting.
Look at some of the good stuff that is being built now:
1. Padma Bridge(BD)
2. Roopur Nuclear Power Station(Russia)
3. Dhaka Metro rail(Japan)
4. Matarbari Coal power Station(Japan)
5. Payra Coal Power Station(China)
You think under Pakistan any of this would be happening? Look at the silly list of virtually costless colleges/ universities that has been branded around to prove that Pakistan did something during 1947-1971 era. They built this in BD while they spent billions on the army that was dominated by West Pakistanis and then also spent mostly BD funds to build Pakistani infrastructure and cities.

- Driving cars on motor ways
- Flying F-16 and JF-17,
- Operating Agosta-class submarine(not used one ),
- Testing atomic bomb
- Testing Shaheen and Ghauri missiles,
-Manufacturing mashak,JF-17,khalid tank etc,
- Receiving trophies of world champions of cricket, hockey, squash and snooker
- Not being killed helplessly by BSF on border
- Not being trolled so easily by indians on PDF
- Who knows JF-17 would have been built in Dhakka
- Who knows Atomic bomb would have been tested in Agarthala along with Chaghi
Pakistan would have been fourth biggest nation of the world with almost one trillion dollar GDP.But it was your decision. You opted to be part of a week nation rather than a nation which is atomic and missile power.
No thanks. BD people are more interested in economic development rather than playing with guns and bombs.
We do not want a measly per capita growth rate of 3% like Pakistan, 6% is much better.
Anway, BD has a plan to create a very powerful conventional military by 2030.
