First Tatra T810 Truck Role Out of Saudi Factory

Saudi Military Industries Corporation (SMIC) celebrated yesterday the first rolling out of the domestically built Tatra T810 to replace the aging American transport trucks currently in service, Chief of Royal Saudi Land Forces General Eid Al-Shalawi said that the trucks has been rigorsly tested in Saudi Arabian desert, mountain and forest terrains and found to be capable of carrying out the duties required of it, and also said that Saudi Arabia has obtained license to produce the entire family of Tatra trucks in cooperation with our Czech partners, and all models of the Tatra truck will enter production soon. And that the first patch of trucks will enter service this year phasing out the old American trucks plagued with old age. In the same ceremony the General inaugurated the infantry supplies factory consisting of helmets, bulletproof vests and personal communication equipment.
