as some guys were pricking Afghanistan for not having modern airforce, its mainly due to Pakistan's b!tch!ng USA is not going to provide them tanks, arty and other heavier equipments.

Its for their own good, look at Iraq.

own good like what???keep sending mercenaries and b!tch!ng to keep them weak is some of the nasty steps against a war torn country like Afghanistan.

Afghanistan is kept weak on purpose.Though they should have rather financed a deal for tejas mk1 for Afghansitan as i know IAF will never induct tejas.

even then you guys will start b!tch!ng,AGAIN..

Good enough to blow up Talibunnies . A welcome addition to Afghan Armed Forces. Congrats to Afghani people.

Nice stepping stone for Afghani air force.
We can give them Tejas MKII or Mk III in 2030s when production line for IAF closes along with our older MK 1s

Afghans do not have the resources and man power to maintain a sophisticated aircraft, Super Tucano was one of the reason to be chosen for their air force. Its easy to maintain, plus a great trainer and good for light attacks and close air support.

Compare, from the above article:
Brazilian aircraft giant Embraer and its U.S. partner, Sierra Nevada Corp., rolled out the first the A-29 Super Tucano for the U.S. Air Force in Jacksonville, Florida, on Thursday. (See the video here.) The aircraft is the first of 20 purchased by the Air Force for deployment in Afghanistan where they will serve as trainers and combat aircraft in what the service refers to as the light air support role.
with
Brazilian aviation firm Embraer said Thursday that it had delivered the first of 20 light-attack aircraft to the US Air Force, for use in Afghanistan after the NATO troop withdrawal.
So, the USAF buys these and then they remain when NATO (which includes US) leaves.

Not when an Ahmadzai Pashtun becomes the next President ;)

Fair enough, you can provide them two squadrons of Tejas-MK2 - you don't care about Pakistan's 'bitching' do you?

We are struggling with our own sqdn strength, and we dont have generous patrons as others... We need to cover our own need before we can even think about looking at afghanistan... At most we can provide some ground support equipment. maybe the situation might change after two terms of the current government.

You can provide them MKIs - the fact wont change that Afghanis are simply incapable of operating them.

Well Nato disagrees. there were afghan pilots who operated mig21, rhetorical jibes aside, ask your buddies on PG's and they will agree that fishbed are the one of toughest aircrafts to fly. If there was caliber to fly those beasts back in the 80's, then I am comfortable in predicting, afghan pilots trainees inducted in IAF or PAF academies right after the highschool, with certain surety will become capable pilots.
