First Robotic Car Pakistan :D

.
With all due respect, this is not much to brag about.

A team of students having studied elementary electronics could make this in a few hours.

It's basically a remote control car - NOT a robotic car. A robotic car would drive itself to the correct destination whilst observing and avoiding obstacles etc – to date, nobody has been able to produce one that works. Companies have spent millions trying to develop such cars and they are all unreliable and rout with problems.

To achieve this it would need a vast array of censors, sensors for example that would use lasers and radar, it would have to have full GPS Compatibility and exceedingly complicated software.

Watch this video to see how compliocated the car would have to be - not some washing machine type of car they used in pakistan!

Observe the vast array of censors the car needs simply to go around slowly on a straight and level piece of land.

Though as much as I applaud the OP for posting this, and I have thus thanked him so, BUT I agree with "fhassan", the Title is a bit misleading.

However, this is nothing that cannot be changed if Stealth agrees as well. :) .

On its own, even this cannot be regarded as minor. How many countries' students can we name that can do the same. Though, not as competitive as one would expect from MIT, but this is major.

Yes - the guys who made it should be pleased with their effort - it was not easy to do.

I just name this topic "robotic Car" myself just "in funny case" not in serious manner :P

I know a group of students of CEME who made a robotic arm that perfectly worked as a natural Human arm. It was a great acheivement since those students went ahead of their respective fields. They studied biology, Computer programing etc and made it. I have heard that the same arm is manufactured in US but the one produced in Pakistan was 1/5 of the total price in US.

Great Acheivement

KIT Over n Out:pakistan:

Well, Stealth, I am no engineer but If you were to ask one if that car could be called robotic, He'd say: "Yes".

The real twister is however, that, many of our readers here would take this for an AI controlled car, meaning an Artificial Intelligence autonomously navigating the car.

That is why I said "A bit misleading".
