Punjab Finance Minister Kamran Michael is the first non-Muslim Pakistani who will earn a unique honour to present the provincial budget in the Punjab Assembly.

So far, not a single non-Muslim Member of the National Assembly or any of the four provincial assemblies has ever presented the budget, The Nation reports.

In addition to his portfolio of Minorities Affairs and Human Rights, Kamran, has been given the additional charge of the Finance Department, and now he has emerged ‘as the first non-Muslim Finance Minister to present budget before the House.
