hmmm nobody here says that only Pakistan opens fire....its common knowledge that both nations indulge in that.
But the thread starter had given the latest, specific incident and the discussion was going abt this incident until u came with all those links and blah blah blah...

"Two versions of the same news meant that wat Pakistani Nationalist said must also have happened on the same date in the same sector, not on some other day in some other sector"

have i made it clear enuff for u..? :hitwall::hitwall:

its not for u to decide wether my posts are useless or not..if u find my reply useless then it means ur grey matter is not able to comprehend the useful part in my post. period

Indian forces restore to unprovoked firing

Indian border security forces resorted to unprovoked firing in the Bamial sector along the International Border late last night, drawing retaliation from the BSF.

No casualty was reported in the firing. Military officials say that India's claims are baseless that Pakistani Rangers started unprovoked firing at the Line of Control and Working Boundary.

Sources say that the unprovoked firing from Indian side started at about 11 pm last night at Simbal post in Bamial sector and Pakistan Army Jawans retaliated. The firing lasted for 30 minutes.

The authorities said Pakistan Army would take up the issue of unprovoked firing with Indian authorities.

There have been incidents of unprovoked firing from Indian side in Poonch and Amritsar sectors in the recent past and Pakistani authorities had lodged protests with Indian authorities number of times.

Despite peace agreement, BSF is undoubtedly involved in firing incidents thus flag meeting will be called soon to settle the thorny issue. The meeting will throw light on the current and future scenario in length in which local commanders will have a comprehensive talk to halt such firing in future.

In the future we would appreciate it if people starting threads such as these do one of two things:

1. Not start such threads since it is inevitably going to involve both sides accusing the other of starting the firing.

2. Provide the views of both sides and stick every thing in one thread related to cross-border & cross-LoC exchanges of fire. (see first post of thread that has been edited to reflect this)
