New Delhi: In a special interview to ABP News, Archaeological Survey of India director Dr. Syed Jamal Hasan today said that the possibility of huge quantities of gold being found under the fort at Daudiya Kheda is out of the question.

Dismissing the claims of 1000 tonnes of gold being found under the fort of Raja Rao Ram Bux Singh, in Daudiya Kheda village near Unnao, Dr Hasan said that they expected to find archaeological treasures, not gold.

“I can confidently say that the possibility of such a huge quantity of gold being found there is out of the question.”

A local seer, Sant Shobhan Sarkar had claimed that 1000 tonnes of gold is buried under the fort. He made claims on the basis of a dream he had.

Following a report of the Geological Survey of India, the Archaeological Survey of India began excavation at the yesterday.

The ASI director said that they are expecting to find historical artefacts, not huge quantities of gold under the fort.

“What we will find are things that will have historical importance, and such antiques cannot be equated in terms of monetary value, they are invaluable”, he said.

Reacting over Dr.Hasan’s claims, Sant Shobhan Sarkar’s aide said that no matter what anyone says, the gold will be found.
