Final operational clearance for Tejas again delayed till next year

Dear , IAF is gonna achieve each and every target by 2030 in spite of slow progress. We are not depandant on Tejas. When you start discover something new, you have to go through lots of struggle. But result will be sweet of this struggle in future. We are not going into war before 2030 for sure. First our priority is to become one of the largest economy of the world , so that we can afford a major war in future. Believe it or not 400 tejas will be flying in Indian sky as well as Pakistan sky by 2030.

There will be at least 100 Stealth aircraft flying from Pakistan by then. And they will swat your Tejas like a Cat zaps a mouse.

If the IAF didn't want the LCA it wouldn't be inducting them, it wouldn't be setting up the requisite infrastructure to house, maintain and operate them, it wouldn't be sending its pilots and ground crews to HAL to be trained to operate this bird.

The FOC is purely a formality, HAL are already producing the first 2 SQNs worth of LCAs as we speak.

It always does. But then again "this context" is no excuse for the previous mismanagements and overestimaton of capabilies on HAL's part, now is it? This isn't the first delay after all and its only the first time where the foreign contractor has caused a delay.

100 stealth aircraft would need mammoth funds not only for the aircraft but also for the infrastructure and support facility and Pakistan economy cannot support it not now and not in next decade be realistic.

The delay won't affect anything because the order of 20 tejas of IOC standand will keep the line busy. It is in 20 FOC standard Tejas you required the IFR probe and quartz nose cone is needed.
