We have to accept that BLA are able to operate within a pool of discontent. If no Baloch agreed with BLA they would not be able to operate. So to resolve the issue Pakistan must address the genuine grievances of Balochistan. We know what force did in Bangla 1971. Their greivances were they were being neglected and Bengali should be accorded national language.

They got what they wanted. Today Bangladesh is a success story with HDI better than Pakistan, exports way ahead of PK, reserves exceeding Pakistan. Thus they have validated their complaints as true because look what they have done since then.

Now Balochistan has massive has reserves. Every town in Balochistan should have had gas by now. Development is lagging. There should be equitable and just system for distribution of resources. Federal govt can’t afford to spend millions of dollar on pipelines to small villages when population is low and people aren’t likely to pay bill. Bloch govt could have build and provided gas to every town in 70 years with resources given to them. But they didn’t because they are corrupt.

I have seen the arrogance of the so called big families in Pakistan and the way they treat poor ppl and women. I was involved in one jirga where a spoiled scum was torturing his wife, frm a middle class family. The arrogance in them was mind blowing. As if the people in cities pay for their gas or electricity. Most of Pakistan's budget goes into subsidies to the majore cities. This is done on the sly. Various public corporations like PIA, Pak Steel etc etc bleed money which in fact amounts to subsidy to the employees who tend to be from cities.

Look at it this way. Say if Balochistan had also gone the way Bangla did in 1971 would they have been better off? Most likely because all of Sui gas would have ended up being piped across Balochistan instead of subsidizing rest of Pakistan. We have to able to look at issues in a reasoned, critical and objective manner or you will never address the issue.

Well that should have been done right back in 1960s. Yes you are right. Most of trouble is from only few districts and we are only talking of tiny populations. For example PIA cost Rs 100s billions in losess to the government. Where does that go? To the salaries of lazy employees most of whom live in the big cities. This actually amounts to a form of welfare payments by the state to these employees who live life far more comfortabaly then those Baloch in Dera Bughti. Instead why not siphon off that Rs 100s billions to those districts as welfare, schools, gas. Problem would have been sorted out decades ago.

Elite capture is what Pakistani economy is. Cities in Pakistan produce f*ck all. They do not generate any wealth. Karachi and Lahore are just two big parasites. Somebody tell me what do they produce or service that is exported and earns dollars? Truth be told most of the money that Pakistan economy earns is either labour export.

Rest is just mafia that leeches the money that is earned by remittances or loaned from abroad.
