If you truly love each other religion should never be a obstacle and you should be able to live life happily.

Religion is a choice. I know many Christians that converted to Buddhism and Buddhists converted to Christianity in marriages as well as couples that didn't change their religion in mixed marriages.
How she goes on her life is her choice and the fact that she converted shows that she wasn't really attached to Catholism
