One of the healthiest, most scrumptious meals you can ever have! Bring out some Makai ki roti and devour – divine! The time required for this dish can be slightly longer – upto an hour and a half, all the way to two hours. But, the wait will only result in the most gratifying award for your taste-buds! Here’s how you do it.

8. Daal

The best thing about Daal (Lentils) is the numerous ways it can be cooked. And Pakistanis love daal, so they are also the most creative when cooking their daal. Here is a delicious recipe that will keep you coming back for more. Cooking time may vary with each chefs creativity level.

Did not realise Lotus stems are edible. Anyone tried lotus stems? Looks alright, but could use some first hand feedback before I tried it out.

Lotus stems are rich in protein and are considered a good replacement of meat. As i do not eat meat so doctors have advised me eating lotus stems.

Though here in my province KPK of Pakistan we cook these with meat as well and i tell you literally here in Peshawar lotus stems are as costly as beef.

Please name them.............

:P barsanday in Pashto and Paeen in Hindko/Punjabi

Can it really be considered Pakistani if it's vegetarian?
I think a better name would be "Pakistani Style"

I don't think most common Pakistanis eat any of those vegetarian dishes, with the exception of maybe daal, and that too out of poverty.

Most of the Pakistanis eat veggis on most of the days of the week.
