Despite all the poor country problems, fact is that India gets millions of foreign tourist footfalls..

Pakistan gets close to zero, its almost like everytime they have a foreign tourist it makes national headlines and there are threads on here about it. Kind of sad tbh, but that is the truth.

I'm in the hospitality business, trust me, having hosted many many solo foreign female tourists, and having spoken to them.. India is safe, despite its many problems, is much safer than south America, where muggings, ruthless drug gangs, and corruption is WORSE than here in India. This has been the general theme I've noticed that western (and far eastern) people, solo females, young couples, even old couples generally talk about when I ask them about if they felt safe and if everything OK on their trip..

atithi devo bhava, this is why we are successful and doing good with tourism, its a good, fun sector to be in... having said that, I must add that it is, at least for me, DOMESTIC tourists keeping me afloat, not so much foreigners, last few years anyway

come visit India, it's not for everyone but a lot of people like it !

Given the one you quoted is Chinese American, who have notoriety in USA of being part of Organized Chinese criminals groups like Triads and Tongs.
