At the peak of insurgency in Balochistan when there were target killings especially of Hazara community and settlers from Punjab, there was little or no hope of restoration of peace in the province. Pakistan Army was denied to establish a Cantt in Kohlu especially after episode of Sarfraz Bugti situation became more deteriorated and all out deployment of Pakistan Army was not seen as feasible due to many issues out there. So it was all left to just one force named FC Balochistan who was already deployed almost throughout Balochistan. But the main problem was that just like any other Paramilitary force FC Balochistan was neither trained nor equipped to fight insurgency alone. Pakistan Army took the initiative and started training and arming FC Balochistan to do the job. Initially there were set backs and quite many good men had embraced Shahadat but with passage of time FC Balochistan not only gained muscle but also adopted new methodologies which not only minimized men and material losses but also transformed it from a Paramilitary Force to a full fighting Force which is not only maintaining law and order situation but also looking after borders too. Not only that but it has emerged as relief providing organisation which is looking after many aspects of social aspects of the people of Balochistan esp those located in far flung areas. Here are some of the services FC Balochistan is rendering other than security services.
Medicle Facilities
Balochistan is the largest province of Pakistan by area. It has also been the least developed province with pockets of populations located in far flung areas which are not only quite away from main cities but connectivity to big cities was also very bad. That had led to many instances where lots of precious lives were lost to reasons which could easily have bee averted. FC Balochistan took it on their selves to provide medicle facilities to far flung areas of Balochistan by conducting medical camps regularly where not only doctors and para medicle staff from FC Balochistan would provide medicle services but also helped man private entities to visit these communities and extend medicle facilities to people.
