For atheist minorities, India is better.

The secular fabric of India is all but gone with Hindutva RSS calling the shots and BJP, Modi is just the political face of that extremist forces. Bharat was always this intrinsically Hindutva disguised as secular with Congress and other parties giving it some credentials of secularism.

Now with Yogi in UP, Modi backed by RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal all in the center and not in the fringe the situation is dire and can take an ugly turn. They are hardly the face of the tolerant India...check the intl' media about intolerance risen there, Indian leftist media as well.

I hate this bitch man.
She sounds like Donald Duck whining when she opens her mouth.

Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry and India's Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj exchanged words on Twitter on Sunday after the latter shared that she had asked the Indian high commissioner in Pakistan to give her a report on the alleged abduction and forced conversion of two teenage sisters from Ghotki.

Chaudhry, responding to Swaraj, said that this was Pakistan's internal matter and he hoped the Indian government would "act with same diligence when it comes to rights of Indian minorities".

"It is Pakistan's internal issue and rest assure[d], it's not Modi’s India where minorities are subjugated," he added. "It's Imran Khan’s Naya Pak where the white colour of our flag [representing minorities] is equally dear to us."

Swaraj, addressing the minister, said her inquiry for a report on the girls — who belong to a Hindu family — made Chaudhry "jittery". "I only asked for a report from Indian High Commissioner in Islamabad about the kidnapping and forced conversion of two minor Hindu girls to Islam. This was enough to make you jittery. This only shows your guilty conscience."

In his reply, Chaudhry said he was "happy" that there were people in the Indian administration "who care for minority rights in other countries".

"I sincerely hope that your conscience will allow you to stand up for minorities at home as well. Gujarat and Jammu must weigh heavily on your soul," the information minister said pointedly.

Later, during a press conference, the minister reiterated that the Imran Khan-led government was ensuring the rights and protection of the country's minorities, questioning if the Indian government could claim the same.

He added that incidents happen all over the world, but what matters is how governments deal with them, giving the example of the recent New Zealand terror attack and its Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, who has been praised for her government's humane handling of the massacre.

"We saw the way New Zealand's government stood with their minority. Can India say that it stands with its minorities?" he asked.

Earlier in the day, the minister announced that Prime Minister Imran Khan had ordered the Sindh and Punjab governments to work together to investigate the reports of the alleged abduction and forced conversion from Hinduism to Islam of two teenage girls, and to retrieve them from Rahim Yar Khan — where they are suspected to have been taken from Ghotki.

The father and brother of the girls — one aged 14 and the other 16 — have alleged that the two sisters were abducted and forced into changing their religion from Hinduism to Islam. However, in a video making rounds on social media, of the girls say that they accepted Islam of their own free will.

The minor girls, after changing their religion, were married to Muslim men. "FIR [registered] with local police for 'abducting to compel to marriage'. Age in FIR is 14 and 16," said activist and lawyer Jibran Nasir. "Under Sindh Child Marriages Restraint Act, every citizen under 18 falls under definition of child and can't be married."

please explain it
Let me explain and expand on it.
I agree Muslims aren't treated that well in India. But remember that Indian Muslims also tend to stay distant from the other communities. Both sides are violent about this.

But for other minorities like atheists, parsis, sikhs, jains, Buddhists, and Christians(aside from a couple of incidents), there haven't been many issues.
Atheists aren't forced to accept a faith. They can announce that they don't believe in a god, from the rooftops, and no one cares.

In Pakistan, I don't think ex Muslims can 'openly' admit that they are atheists.

I agree with Fawad except the part where he equalize Jammu with Sind or Gujarat. Being a politician he should know very well that Jammu and Kashmir is not indian territory but an occupied territory whose fate is pending.

I believe ik govt is trying to change the minds of Pakistanis in believing that IOK is India's internal matter. IK govt should be careful and not so reckless.

they are not allowed to convert ether before 18 as per law

they are not allowed to convert before 18 last bill in SA passed was its illegal to convert before age 18 .

I don't agree with that law, that's ridiculous. People under the age of 18 can most definitely choose to convert.

Should had mentioned atleast those 200 Muslim houses that got burnt in Merath and what happened to Muslim Family in Gurgaon

Now India gives an image of cow and caste politics, people(Muslims) getting lynched by Hindutva mobs/Gau rakshaks, Ghar Wapsi as dreaded as love Jihad, Caste and divisions(was always there). Muslims and minorities living in constant fear of death(read the interviews of Nasseruddin shah and others).

BJP UP leaders under Yogi threatening that 10 Muslims will be killed for one and that women will be raped taking them from graves, all kind of ugly, uglier ugliest situation in India...

no they should not they don't know what they are doing and its create chaos and world attention on paksitan . its good law hope those whom kidnap and marry them in bars . alo why not thy make them sisters ? why they did not convert hindu boys and marry Muslim sisters with them ? daal main bhut kuch kala hai

In Indian its state policy so think it might be the case in Pakistan

India has always been weakly secular. It is expected, since most Indians are religious. Religious people are known to dislike people from other faiths.
People like yogi have shown that Hindus can be violent too. This actually drives more people away from religion.
In elite and upper middle class circles in India, a mention of religion will turn you into an outcast.

But remember that Indian Muslims also tend to stay distant from the other communities. Both sides are violent about this.

Oh so its the Muslims fault when in that video, the mob broke into their house beat them and almost raped them?

...and athiesm isnt a religion, but even if it was i've yet to see incidents in Pakistan that are even comparable with what happens in India.

Do you not realise that Muslims attack others too?
A few months back in my city (Delhi), a Muslim family killed a Hindu guy(ankit) because he was dating their daughter. You can Google this.

Hindus and Muslims will keep fighting as long as they follow their faiths strictly.

I was just saying India is much safer for atheist minorities.

People below the age of 18 can convert though, that's the problem. You cannot tell someone they are not Muslim because they converted when they were 16 or something.

What creates chaos is Pakistan not responding properly to tough situations. Now if you have people who are being forced to convert - then that's what you aim at directly. You make laws against forced conversion and then you actually enforce them. Banning anyone under the age of 18 from of converting is silly, it creates a whole new mess where people convert to Islam at a young age and the government tells them "oh you're not a Muslim until you're 18!". I have known people to convert when they were 17, they are perfectly good Muslims but under Pakistani law, apparently they wouldn't be Muslim. That is silly.

If people are being kidnapped, then you enforce a law about kidnapping. It's simple.

I am against kidnapping women as much as you are but this "can't convert until 18" creates a whole new problem.

wtf is an athiest minority? athiesm isnt a religion I told you, theres no way to distinguish whether someone is an athiest unless they specifically tell you
