Social media is an amazing platform where top brands are always neck-to-neck giving their rivals a hard time to get ahead. Recently, we saw a surprising move pulled by FAW Apollo Motors, a Facebook page.

Apollo Motors is the company which deals in selling vehicles by FAW, a Chinese automotive brand. The Facebook page posted a picture of the Suzuki Wagon R and FAW V2 and did a comparison of both, claiming the V2 was better!

Syed Ahsan Hussain Zaidi shared this image on Khalid Alvi Facebook page, a famous page where media and marketing are openly discussed. The active members of the forum gave their two-cent on this marketing stunt.

If we compare the prices and specifications and features. we can see that both are tough competitors. However, the public vote is in favor of the Chinese manufacturer FAW for their V2.

Which car is the winner according to you?

Presentation of the post is really bad and makes it difficult to compare the two cars.

Chinese car sound much better at least on the paper especially with more modern engine due to the electronic fuel injection system, larger capacity and more valves for a smoother power. But since I didn't drive any of them, I can't comment on their performance and quality.

Suzuki is rubbish.
The question is what to do against this mafia. Its unfortunate to see only one option under 1 million. Not sure why FAW is not going after mehrban. Anything around 8 LAK with better specs may change the dynamics. Suzuki is looting this nation with outrageous prices for their junk.

. .
No, they're pretty good. Infact they are bringing new technologies at prices lower than competitors, one of the reasons they are market leaders across South Asia.
Not in Pakistan. That's why they hate them most.

On the contrary Suzuki owns the car market in India. With new models.

Dunno then. They're really putting automatic gear boxes/AMG's within reach of the common man with cars as economical as celerio(4 lakhs) and all having them.
They're now even planning to put AMG's in alto!

I think by 2020, 25% of cars sold each year will be automatic. Thanks to Suzuki and Hyundai.

I don't like Auto Transmission.

Celerio is a good car. With good looks and a nice price. But I don't think if it's available in Pakistan.

Suzuki can't import the cars (in Pakistan). The taxes are so high. So, they have a basic factory which manufacture small cars. Although I'm not sure about it, may be ask @Zibago about the Suzuki manufacturing stuffs.

FAW V-2's built quality is not comparable with Wagon-R

Corolla is not Cheap. It's not even comparable to WaginR.

There should be Toyota Etios Liva

Suzuki is milking people in Pakistan so they only bring new model when they feel they will lose market share to someone else or GoP push them to bring new tech.

I don't think it's because Suzuki hates Pakistan. Rather the taxes are too high for imported cars.
